Some type of Panaeolus species. Pan Paps maybe? You should repost in the hunting and gathering forum if you want a more definitive answer. Its probably inactive.

Well found what I thought to be the perfect pasture with the perfect cattle and the perfect cover from the road. Lots of mushrooms but nothing interesting

You need to check more fields more often.

Eddie did you ever get those identified? The ones in the second and third photos look a lot like Panaeolus cinctulus, but I'm no expert

It's supposed to be raining for the next week and a half around here, there's gotta be some good growth! I'm off all next week so I'll be hitting the fields hard!!!

So I have heard mention of cubes only popping up south of I 20, does anyone know how much truth there is to that?

Eddie, those look like Panaeolus cinctulus, but the pictures aren't great, and it's hard to tell. That question would be better suited for the ID threads. Good find though!

This year or in general?
I can assure you they grow north of the perimeter. Not this year, but in general.

A bit of rained has touched down in my area. I am soon to check the fields and share any results! Be well!

The I-20 thing is a myth. Just like the range p. weilli was once given. Supposedly under the right persistent conditions, cubensis can be found in southern tennessee, but that's only what people have said here in forums
