so if the fan moved 2 cubic feet (talking out my ass now i have no idea the ratings) you'd want a filter that could take like 1.9 cubic feet?
making the wooden box (NO PROBLEM)...
making it sealed ( no problem)...
being sure i had the right fan/filter combo (nervous but i guess its somewhere on the web and i can find it).
knowing the right pre and post filters (a bit shaky).
if i had all the info im pretty sure i could do a good job.
If you were to buy the filter, and fan, like I did, from perfecti, then you would be sure of a proper match... Spring the extra $20 for their custom fan to box bracket. A real time saver! They won't give you blueprints, but will answer simple questions on dimensions. The rest can be infered from pictures, and info gleaned here...
this is sounding like sound advice +5 to you

I purchased my hood from perfecti ready built because I didn't have the tools/patience to mess around with the wood working aspect at the time. In retro spec I'd have probably gone with Green Bastard's advice and saved a little bit of coin.
PM me if you need exact dimensions on the box brudda.
Also if you look around and double check here you could probably build a 24x24 or 24x18 for the same price as buying a ready made 24x12. The bigger the better is what I'd say, in a few months if you expand you'll thank the advice lol
If I ever want to switch to bags I'm going to need a second hood, a 24x12 doesn't make bag work convenient....

Ive had good luck with bags.. you can PC more per run just load your bags in a pillowcase so they don't melt on the bottom or sides..

You noc them up in front of a hood? and what size?
The idea of using 1 bag per tub instead of 6-8 jars sounds very appealing.
