Does anyone else believe that psychedelics could have possibly been what people believe as the tree of knowledge.
Also on the other side. Can you see how mushrooms and dmt could actually be the missing link in human evolution?
Maybe this is the wrong sub forum. But, oh well

Well many tribes think this way towards ayahuasca but I mean they also think a camera can steal their soul. It's definitly more to it then simply a substance that make your brain go crazy , but I don't think its the key in evolution like in the stoned ape theory from Terrence ,other theories about human evolution makes more sense , but maybe it helped a bit in a way , I guess nobody knows the real answer tho

Great response dude.
But a camera is a man made thing and dmt is something that they found in nature
They have to knowledge if cameras so they think that I assume
While they used these substances for decades

I always thought the tree of knowledge could be a metaphor for communication.

What about cannabis? I always thought it would be a suitable candidate for a literal translation.

even if they used it for decades , us and them don't have the technology and the scientific process to find the truth . And dmt and his 4-Ho version of it are so mind blowing that without scientific explanation , the only rational explication is mystically it works the same way with the camera and them
Atleast we know there is some sort of chemical reaction that is going in the brain so that's already that I'm sure that in the future we will find the truth . But on the other hand it's proobably a good thing that we don't know the truth , it leaves place to imagination and personal growth which is a major part of the psychotherapy

the tree of knowledge is fiction, and psychedelics are real, so probably not the same thing.
