don't you guys find milk produced on an industrial level to be a little disgusting? From what I understand, the cows are not fed their natural diet; they're obese; there's such a bad bacterial issue that they constantly put them on antibiotics... And you guys are eating a product made from a fluid produced by these cows. The only dairy i eat is clarified butter that i mail order from a farm that i believe is true to their stated quality standards. You'd have to pay me to walk into a random pizza place and get something from it.

Why would you go into a thread about pizza vs. calzone to post some veganist mumbo jumbo that literally has nothing to do with the conversation? I won't pay you to eat pizza but I'd consider paying you to stop posting.

there was nothing veganist about his point.
he was just pointing out how unhealthy the dairy industry is. Which, is 100% valid.
nothing vegan about it though.

A properly made Calzone or Stromboli should never have sauce on it in it or anywhere near it. And if you're getting doughy calzones it's because the place is using too much dough and not stretching it thin enough.

I was waiting for teamkiller, but you still haven't explained how I'm wrong. The line of reasoning used by that other poster is the same line of reasoning I've seen vegans use to stray from dairy many times.

I wasn't trying to prove you wrong.
I just don't see how you have to be a vegan in order to think dairy is unhealthy.
I stopped drinking milk and consuming most dairy years before I ever made any big changes to my diet in regards to animals.
it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you really look at it. Mammals only drink milk from their mothers until that can eat whole foods and drink water. why are we so different?
aside from the principal of it, most cows in america are terribly unhealthy.
nothing vegan about it. just pure health and logic.

I forgot about the part where he said he orders butter from another farm.
that's the non-vegan part

I feel for ya man too many people mistake the tasty grease from the meats that mixes with the ricotta in a calzone as red sauce, Stromboli are a bit drier since there is no Riccotta. but just as tasty. So If you have the chance order one with no sauce.

I had no idea what a calzone was so I looked it up and it's just a panzerotti that's baked. My shit needs to be deep fried, with extra sauce.. Why do all these same things need to have different names anyway?

A panz is more of a puff pastry Than a dough The idea is pretty much the same though. But I don't really care for Panz. The ones I've had were made with filo dough. IMHO too dry

Yeah they can be dry. I make them put the sauce in because of that, I don't get them often anyway. They're a good drunk/trippin food. I would try a calzone but I'd have no idea where to get one around here. I'd probably have to drive an hour or two, lol.
