Hi, all. Found a bunch of these and was curious about them. In the southeast U.S., up a hill several yards from a creek, dead twigs/leaves/mulch etc. along with healthy grass. Spores are dark. Any opinions? Thanks.

Your pictures are unfortunately not the best. Did they grow gregariously or in dense clusters?

Looks to me like a Psathyrella sp., but better focused and more detailed pictures are required.

they were spread across at least ten feet or more, but several were growing two at a time, or a little clump. The caps are smooth and line free though...yeah sorry about the photos. they looked fine small and then just ridiculously bad.

Thinking also they might be Panaeolus antillarum, not sure. Any animals present nearby? Did you see any dung in the area?

yeah realized that was dumb to say in hindsight haha...dogs are walked there so it's pretty cow-free/nonrural. looking for a better camera, thanks for your help. anyone else want to offer thoughts meanwhile?
