My first experience with Salvia....
    #2172150 - 12/12/03 04:28 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

well.. it's been about 2 and a bit hours since I picked up the bong.. there were two others here, they went first, one at a time, and between Lee's histarical laughter and Dave's explanation of a 'rip' in reality, I didn't really know what exactly to expect... Wow was I right in that...

I picked up the bong, nervous anxiety giving me a sort of buzz making my movements a little unsure of themselves.. spark, flame, pull..... .. .. . I set the bong down, then said "there's the 'rip' you were talking about", then the rest is a bit blurry. It felt as if my self was on the verge of imploding - my arms feeling heavy. The best way to describe it was it felt like there was this blanket over our conciousness - this blanket of reality, and everytime someone would move, the blanket would ripple causing me to admire in half-hazzard confusion... I asked where the bong had gone, (it was right in front of me), then asked if it was my turn... I'm so used to smoking pot.. hehe. For a brief instant, it felt like my two friends were gone - in fact I had forgotten they were there in the first place. After a little bit of re-orientation, I moved my arms around a bit admiring at how reality would ripple with my thoughts.. Everything felt really heavy, but I had to keep my arms up due to the unstoppable (and unwanted) melding to the couch upon relaxtion. I stood up, then sat back down, said some stuff that upon re-living (via digital video) didn't make much sense.

Upon the comedown I feel somewhat dissappointed, with a sort of 'what next?' feeling that is fading, but somewhat interferring with my thoughts. The remainder of my comedown was spent laying on the couch wanting to be held by my girlfriend, in fact I haven't felt such a longing for that comfort in a while, (not on this level).

In review, I feel somewhat centered yet disorientated all at the same time... Will I repeat this experience? Probably not anytime soon.. I have a headache, and I'm still quite amazed at how weird it felt to have everything seem so non-sensical.

wow.

OK, I answered "Yes, I can't wait...," but I think there should have been another choice between that & not being sure about doing it again.  I enjoy my experiences with salvia, but it's not something I'd want to do all the time, or even every week.  But, hell yes, I'll do it again in a month or so.

I'm with you on the unwanted melding with the couch.  I'd read about that before my first time, but I sure didn't expect it to feel so weird.  That taught me instantly to respect the power of this strange & interesting plant.

OK, now that I've typed this, maybe I can't wait to do it again...hmmmm....still got some left here somewhere.

i need another option -
no, i didn't enjoy it, but i did it again about 6 more times to be sure.

but if i had tried it when i was about 18, i would've loved it.
i was into datura then, and salvia, for me, easily competes with datura for weirdness but without the negative baggage.

I watched the videotape on TV, its pretty funny, it was a good idea to do that.  Otherwise I wouldnt have remembered half of the trip.

Definitely not my favorite drug, although I like it better than DXM.

Trip: The effects came on fast, reality started to "drift away" and bend in towards me.  I never lost visual contact with reality, I dont think I took enough to "break through".  The couch seemed like it was eating me, so I had a strong urge to stand up.  Everything looked like it was biological underneath, including the couch and chair, like the lining was skin.  I could see my friends faces but their bodies had kind of "melted" into the scene.  It looked like all of reality had merged into one form, and the feeling of the salvia was very reptilian/undescribable.  An emotion I had never felt and it certainly didn't feel natural.

I forgot I had smoked the stuff and became paranoid that reality was turning into an alien, and that it would always be like this.  Eventually I came down, remembered that I had smoked and then I thought it was funny and started laughing.

Very powerful stuff!!!  I'm still curious what it would be like to "break through", I think Lee went further than me, he was seeing Fish and other visuals.

Hahah I remember you looked at the bong and you were like "I smoked that?" sort of questioningly, and we said yeah and you were like "Oh..." and then you started to laugh.. heh.. much fun

How are you feeling today? My friend Shell mentioned that you she built up a euphoric feeling over the next couple days - I don't know if it's placebo or what but I had a pretty good day considering monday @ work and what not..

Yeah I feel great man!

I feel like I just escaped hell! haha

Was at the casino earlier and a guy I havent seen in a while asked me:
"You tried Salvia yet?"
"Yeah I did it last night."
"Last night? For real? What'd ya think?"
"That shit is FUCKED UP!!"
"That shit is crazy huh?"
"Fucking blew my mind!"
"hahaha!"
A car drove by and saw him peeing. The story has no point but whatever..
