How To Know You Need Knee Surgery?
    #21719716 - 05/25/15 04:46 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

For the past four days, my left knee has been killing me. When I was younger, I was line drives in it while pitching at a baseball game.

I can feel fluid building up in it because its soft and squishy.

How can I tell and how likely may it be that I end up needing surgery on it? Anyone here ever had to have knee surgery, if so what was it like?

Dude ya got to go to the doc so they can send you to a specialist. It's a bullshit process but thats America for ya. I had to have 3 x-rays done b4

my insurance would approve and MRI, until you get an MRI done who knows whats going on.

This^

I've had knee surgery before. My injury was quite acute and required almost immediate surgery, which resulted in 2-3 months on crutches and 6 months off running or anything high-force. It sucks, but that's how it goes. Many knee injuries heal 100%, as mine has, but that doesn't mean you don't need surgery or time on crutches. Go to a doc, they will tell you what's happening with your knee.
