Hello friends, I haven't seen anyone post making kombucha with lemon juice that has gone through the lemon tek process. A friend is going to do this process in the near future. Does anyone have any thoughts?
The procedure would be something like:
1. Steep fun guys in lemon juice for 1 day. 2. Have kombucha ready to begin second ferment. (Takes a week, or 3 days if brewing with jun) 3. Strain mushies (optional) and pour lemon juice into kombucha. 4. Add 2Tbsp fresh mint for delicious freshness, or ginger for stomach aid. 5. Let sit 3 days air tight, then refrigerate until ready to consume. 6. Consume spiritual beverage, feel enlightment.
I will post results of the friends experience! Friends and foes please state your love and fears!

The experiment has begun. The mushies soaked in lemon juice for 30 minutes today before being added to the second ferment of A batch of Jun. There was also ginger added.
It's roughly 1.5grams for a half pint of Jun.
Now we wait for test results, 3 day fermentation process begins now.

Friend left the chopped dried shrooms in lemon juice for 30 minutes then added it to some jun beginning it's second ferment, a 2 day ferment at 72 degrees. Ginger was also added. The brew was then ingested the following day. 1/2 pint jars filled with the strained brew, with roughly 1,4 grams of the fun guys. mildly carbonated and very tasty, lemony and gingery, no noticeable taste of mushroom. Effects came on within 20 minutes after fasting for 12 hours, 8 of which were sleeping. Peak came within an hour, lucidity feeling afterwards for roughy 4-5 hours and general vibrant was throughout the experience.
This is the absolute preferred way that any of the guinea pigs have consumed their guys.
Try it questions?
