WHAT?!?!?!?! Looking into that RIGHT NOW!! Damn! Didn't think this morning could get any better!!!
Been sick but am finally feeling better, got me a little somethin somethin this morning, UFC IN MANILA IS ON!!! Now I find out they are comin to Hollyhood two weeks before my birthday! :fuckthisshit: losing my fuckin mind this morning :wooawesome:
so, Mark Munoz is ending his amazingly awesome career....Perfect place to do it, I guess. Will be sad to see him go tho...
going to be an awesome card!! Faber-Edgar?!?!?! I'd pay good money to see that fight! The guys on the prefight were calling for a finish! I think it will go all 5, with Frankie taking it. Lol..... TJ said, on the prefight, that Urjiawill wear out Frankie Edgar..... :somefunnyshit: common man (in my best Cris Carter voice, lol)! I know they're buddy buddy and teammates and good friends and all but that just made him seem dumb. I mean, I expect TJ to pick Faber to win but to say something like that?? I picture Frankie turning into a more intelligent Forrest Gump later in life  he's going to get bored one day and just start runnin and runnin  no way could Faber ever dream of wearin out Frankie is what im trying to say :bigjoint:

frankie takes this easy, faber doesn't even want it cuss he doesn't want to fight TJ.  If frankie loses he might as well go back into retirement, he is going to be hungry, and relentless.

altho i am confused, i thought frankie was supposed to fight someone other than TJ, aldo i think?  so wtf is faber and frankie fighting?  im confused

Yeah, Faber stepped up 10lbs to fight Frankie at 145. Aldo 145lbs, TJ 135lbs. And why would Frankie retire? And he was already retired??? I dont remember that.... I think this is going to be a very exciting fight.

im with art here. and to your post above homie, :lmafo:

look into tickets, thatd be dope! n have a good day man, sounds like you got an exciting lil morning planned. ill be stuck at work all day  I got it recording though!

this is a crazy fight. urijah looked like SHIT in his last fight against Francisco rivera, but if the Urijah that came in and destroyed Michael mc Donald shows up, this could be a pick em fight. frankies got the cardio, but urijah is a beast with the submissions. my heart says go with faber, but my mind is saying Frankie takes this.

Frankie egdar defeats urijah faber via unanimous decision. 49-46, calling it now.

And yeah, im thinking the same thing, brotha. I'd love to see Faber win but I think Frankie will take it in 5...

frankie was semi retired he didn't have a fight for a long time, the fight he had before this was a test of sorts coming out of that,i remember them talking about that during that fight.  anyways he won as suspected

yo, youre confused. Frankie has never been retired, or even semi retired. hes never even mentioned retirement.

maybe youre thinking because of his long layoff that he retired or something? he coached the ultimate fighter show against bj penn so that put him on the sidelines for about a year.

maybe youre thinking of someone else though?

UFC events are ridiculously expensive even for the nosebleeds.

I've only ever paid for one PPV because Fight Pass gave me a discount.  Fight Pass is pretty nice though, looks like subscribers will get the Joanna Jedrzejczyk event in full. I'm excited for this strawweight division.  A lot of young talent and it seems to be ramping up faster than the bantamweight division.

Pre-fight calling for finishes is silly and probably more for hype.  Frankie Edgar and Urijah Faber had the perfect styles for a decision.

Disappointing main event.

Cormier as champ? I hate jones n I'm actually looking forward to him coming back now. With dc, were gonna be seeing boring 5 round clinch fights from now on.

And Johnson, for real!? Dude was huffing n puffing 4 minutes into the first round. WTF!?!?!?

he blew his load as quick as he could, he knew DC was going to hold him down eventually and win a decision.  So he came out swinging like vitor, then had popeyes chicken laying on him.  basically DC did what jones did to him more or less.  but that dude also has way more muscle than he should so wasn't really surprising

i was way more disappointed in the weedman fight, vitor gay the fuck up soon as it hit the ground, dude is way better than that and he didn't even try, all he had to do was huge his stomach but aids vitor was gassed already to i guess

youre right. Johnson is carrying around WAY to much muscle. but I think part of it was an adrenaline dump. fighting for the title is a once in a lifetime opportunity sometimes, and expectations n anticipation leading into and during the fight can tax a fighter pretty bad. hes with a SUPER reputable camp who all praise him for his work ethic. you know damn well they had him ready cardio wise for this fight. I dunno, I was just surprised, cause I have this "new" Anthony Johnson in my mind, n last night he looked like the guy who cut over 45 pounds for a fight again.

as far as vitor goes, im disappointed as hell. I like Weidman, and I think its cool that hes finally proving himself, cause after Anderson 1 and 2, I had my doubts about him. but what he did to Machida and vitor are very telling. but yeah, I dunno what it is, but I want to see him lose. I find it hard to believe that Weidman finished vitor in one round, where it took jon jones 4, AND vitor nearly subbed jones from his back with an armbar. but he couldn't defend himself in the slightest against Weidman? I dunno, maybe a bad night for vitor. the guys a cheat, but as a longtime ufc fan, I wanted to see him win.

actually vitor isn't a cheat, they allowed trt, so anyone that wanted it got it, so its all fair, if anything it evens the playing field (when not abused) and as we seen, almost everyone was using it.  As someone said, anyone at the top is most likely using to get there. i think we seen in the weidmen fight why trt was actually a good thing.  vitor is most likely done, just like dan henderson, it let them compete like they were 21 year olds, now they are old and shriveled up.

Weidmen accused vitor of cheating at the weigh in's, but from what ive read, weidmens numbers were actually more suspicious.

Also in the browne fight, it looked like he was letting andre win, putting on a show, with his rubber legs.  i swear i saw browne look into the camera or at something like he was wondering how believable it was it almost looked like dancing. cuss they are friends and knew andre had to win or might as well retire. look very careful when he got that hit that put andre down, he put his hand onto andre's head, like he was letting him know he was about to throw

then the bullshit where vitor suddenly becomes a white belt, makes a person wonder......

vitor is a cheat, lol. granted, trt was allowed at the time, but after they denied his therapeutic use exemption, he got popped for using trt (hence the super long layoff leading up to this fight, including weidmans injury) vitor also left the ufc a couple years back to fight in affliction and was popped for steroids. I love the dude, but hes a cheat.

n I think youre crazy for thinking the browne fight was somehow setup. the browne fight showed how much heart travis browne has. most guys would've buckled from one of arlovskis flurries. browne withstood most of them. when your equilibrium is thrown off, that's how you get those wobbly legs. you lose all sense of balance. its obvious that's what was going on. but the fact that he tried to survive most of those barrages shows just how big that dudes balls are.

no he wasn't popped, they never suspended him?  his results were high but they couldn't do anything to him because he was allowed to take it, he had plausable excuss or something so they just banned it outright, then he took so long off because he had to get his body to readjust or he would have fought like a girl, instead of an old man.  he cheated once plain and simple, and the rest was legal with suspicion of abuse.  but like i said, everyones a cheat, so its part of the sport, aka not really cheating.

if u look around really closely, u will notice a shitload of injurys now, and a shitload of shitty performances all of a sudden, cain, browne, machida to name a few.  put 2 and 2 together dude.  not saying they are or did, im just saying....

its pretty crazy man.

I mean, George st pierre left the sport because of steroids. n this was before all these guys started getting popped. its obviously really bad behind the scenes. but these dudes beat the shit out of each other for a living, so im not surprised.

especially when you have freak athletes like hector Lombard taking steroids. that guy is scary.

No, Vitor was popped, suspended, and fined for steroid use in 2006 after he lost to Dan Henderson.  If you ask me, the TRT thing was just a loophole to enhance your performance with PEDs.  Testing for PED's has been notoriously weak in combat sports (or well, most sports).

Vitor's performance was very uncharacteristically weak.  When he loses, he's notorious for petering out in most rounds after the first.  When he doesn't get his way, you can just see him mentally crumble and stay in a defensive shell.  This time it happened within the first round and after a minute or two, really.  I think there's a good chance we're seeing how a modern, undrugged Belfort fights.  He's old and has had a long career that's taken likely it's toll. Either way, he has quite a highlight reel and legacy, albeit arguably tainted by his drug use.

I loved watchin The Natural Born Killer do his thing but he's been out for a good bitx with a bad knee injury no less. On the other hand, Alves is notorious for gasin out... im goin with Condit in the 4th (tko)
Haven't even seen the rest of the card. Need to check that out...

the rest of the card is weak. if I wasn't a die hard I probably wouldn't recognize 95% of the names on the card.

a prime alves vs condit would be a tossup. however, thiagos on the downslide of his career, and hes been battling injuries for the better part of 4 or 5 years.

condit via submission, 3rd round.
