in keeping with the recent thread about nothing to worry about
i think it's nice to remember that we always have the option to choose joy in every moment
even right this second... you can choose joy and instantly you can transform your state of mind and experience for the better
to Joy!

Thank you for this.
I composed this short poem a little while ago,
here with the deer where the lamp and light is one becomes strong hear the song all around everywhere and always.
a while ago I was in walking meditation and the thought 'Joy to the world' came to mind and I realized, wishing joy for others is so powerful and very instantly transforming.
Joy by oneself is beautiful because it shines, and there is no real difference between self and others.
Again, thank you for this.
Light and joy, brother

light filled earth
all the earth is a field of light.

yeah wishing joy on others is great - and incidentally also brings a lot of joy to yourself
finding any reason to celebrate is a means to bring forth joy
finding anything to be grateful for is another way too
Joy to all!

I'm very thankful for Rain.
Oh! and I'm glad I didn't forget! A little while ago I heard the Laughing Song, of the First People, was most, most beautiful and wonderful.
Every day we are new, and have new understanding, and these bring out new light in the experiences of life.

Bentinho Massaro teaches along these lines. I love him and what he has to say. Only, I have trouble choosing joy. It seems like sadness chases after me.

i think familiarization is key - it's obvious but of course takes time and a certain degree of persistence and resilience instead of saying 'i have trouble choosing joy' try saying 'i find it easy to choose joy' - what we tell ourselves often becomes our own affirmations or negations infusing choices of attitude and behaviour with love and joy takes time but a lot of it is simply believing and affirming that it is already the case what we believe, we become

Earlier I was thinking about this thread and I thought,
May all beings be healthy; may all beings be happy, may all beings be at peace.
hehe, and yep, that's me.

same here ^^
and gazing at trees on the horizon is one of my favorite forms of meditations. . . relaxes the eye muscles and helps improve vision, while also having all the benefits of other types, I would say. trifecta.
^deff, I prefer this forum very much for dozens of reasons, for one I can be more open here. although all places are equal, in a sense.

It's my understanding that pure joy is the Self. It is not other than that. Eventually you find with the joy of the Self, this pure joy hopefully we are all talking about (the same thing) is not an emotion but a whole thought process. It transforms the world, the world being a co-construction of your thought process and other nervous system processes.
The Self is not an end, but a means to continually intensifying bliss states. There is no end to God.

On being new every day. This is completely true.
I don't know much about Castaneda but one thing he says is - "People don't realise they can cut anything out of their lives, in a single instant."
Not getting the progress you want? Throw all trains of thought away and start again. And start again, and again. It's up to you, "you're only as old as the last time you changed your mind"-Robert Anton Wilson
I was way overdue for some idea pruning recently.

this is very nice, circastes!
I just posted a thing on sleep rejuvenation in well-being. .
may it do some good
yeah that Castanada quote is very true, useful and good. . I was just reading a sage yesterday who was writing on imagination. . very beautiful stuff, I actually typed it out I liked it so much, so I'll post it here.
"How many times you sit and become aware that the thought is beginning to form images for itself, to tell itself a story; and so, when you have become a little expert at it, not only do you see unfolding before you the history of what you would like to happen in life, in your own life, but you can take something away, add a detail, perfect your work, make a really fine story in which everything conforms with your highest aspiration. And once you have made a complete harmonious construction, as perfect as you can make it, then you open your hands and let the bird fly away."
My first thought initially, of the first line, was - an unusual usage. . this morning it has new meaning.
by Mirra.
