Hi there,
I am new to this and found my first shrooms today which I believe to be Panaeolus cinctulus (or at least look alike).
Habitat: I found them in the state forest in between grass and some rotting wood (see pics).
Gills: White and attached to stem, dark in between.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: approx. 3.5 cm, conical, beige to light brownish
Spore print color: in process (just had a look after about 30 min and it is blackish...still a bit early to be confident but definitely of dark colour) Very important!
Bruising: not sure about that, when I plugged them they appeared to change colour at the site of injury but could not really see clear blue on the stem
From the pictures I have seen it resembles Panaeolus cinctulus but again, I am a noob and require some assistance here.

Here is the spore print...its unfortunately a little faint. Probably because they were still young and I carried them for 1 afternoon in a box till I arrived home. However, the colour is black. From what I have read the spore print should be black for subs...is that correct?
Could I get one more confirmation for my find please?....I am so excited as this is my first find!!
Also the quality of my pics and posts will improve in the future...sorry about that
Many thanks to you guys for helping!!

I believe the spore color for subs varies a bit, sometimes black sometimes brown. Double check each one to make sure they bruise blue Definitely Psilocybe subaeruginosa
unsure why a TI hasn't commented yet
