To Keep or Toss dubtub?

Hello all, I need some advice from more experienced growers than I. I'm unsure what direction to take at this point. I spawned one jar which was finished colonizing between the others to a coir/verm mini dub tub two weeks ago. It was not visually apparent to me that the all-white colonized jar was contaminated, but smelling it before spawning made it clear there was foul pungency in addition to the fresh mushroom smell. I'm unsure exactly what contaminant. Regardless I had already prep'd substrate and cracked the one jar, and this was the only jar colonized for at least another two weeks, so decided to break it up anyways to experiment. Now after two weeks the tub is looking colonized and cotton white, but the pungency along with a coir/verm smell remains. Does the tub look like it will put out anything useful? I don't want to spread contams to future grows but this is the only tub i'll be able to work on for another month and my shroomey stock is dangerously low

Is part of the mycelium darker or is that just a shadow? A pic of the substrate in full light would be better, if that's just shadow I think it looks fine, not sure about that smell though, that can't be anything good...

Looks good, I think I see some knots forming. If there are indeed knots coming in i would go ahead and fruit it. I don't see anything visually wrong with it. As far as the smell goes, could be bacteria which shouldn't cause a problem since its made it this far. You should at least get a flush out of it imo

In my experience, spawn that doesn't smell 'right' can colonize bulk substrate that will also not smell 'right'.
You'll get some mushrooms ... but you will also get trichodema before long. it sounds like you are involved with bacteria.
you need to clean-up your cultures.

The mycelium is cotton white throughout, the dark part is just shadow since this pic was taken through an FAE hole @ BkillsU
Thanks for your replies, i'll go ahead and attempt to fruit this and see what I get. Any idea of what causes this bacteria? I have my grain prep down using franks, always pc for 120 min at 12 psi, and feel pretty confident in my sterile inoculation technique but I usually end up with some jars having waxy looking grains and this pungent smell even if they fully colonize. I've only inoculated with pre-made syringes thus far, haven't tried LQ or G2G yet.

In your 1st post you write, "foul pungency" ....
.... anything that does not smell like clean fresh mushrooms is a problem. sounds like bacteria ... maybe from your original culture.
what was your original culture? spore syringe?
I recently purchased 3 vendor syringes (1st time dealing with this vendor). all three were contaminated with bacteria. I was able to clean up the cultures on agar ... but what a pain in the ass !
bite the bullet. get something clean to work with. working with a culture that doesn't smell 'right' is a problem that will only get worse.
bacteria could come from them (the print, spore syringe or lc), or it could come from you (improper technique, grain too wet, etc).
