Tripping at parent's house during the day

I am still a newbie when it comes to tripping on mushrooms. My next trip will be my third time taking mushrooms, but my first time with a dosage higher than 1.5 grams. My plan was to take the mushrooms at home because I want to get familiar with the higher dosage effects, before venturing outside to a park or something. I would feel safer in my own house, if the trip becomes too unmanageable. My dad is always home because he recently retired from his job at the post office and my mom works during the day and comes home at 4:30 most days. My parents are aware that I intend to take the mushrooms and they just told me that I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions. My mom seems more worried though and she said she would rather me be home than outside in a public place while in that state of mind. I plan to take 2.5 grams of mushroom chocolates around 7:30 and sit outside on my patio recording the effects as they kick in and just relax until I get to the peak. What are your experiences tripping around your parents?

it would be slightly weird because they're voices formed much of my unconscious while in early childhood. but also interesting.
as long as I'm not on a long car ride or stuck in a space with them I would have no concerns.
I am generally a quiet person so when tripping I just act normal around my parents as best I can which is easy because often I am doing simple things like getting water from the fridge or walking through the room they're occupying.
-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow That it's one thing to try and another to fly You get there quicker just a step at a time It's one thing to bark, another to bite The show ain't over till you pack up at night

They weren't aware I was tripping (low dose), but it felt pretty natural. I'd even say I felt more willing to converse with them. I also took a low dose of acid with a friend at a boarding house in South Korea. It started to kick in just as everyone in the house was sitting down for dinner. My friend couldn't stop laughing the whole dinner and the lady who ran the place just thought we were drunk lol

That's an interesting idea. I guess it would be kinda awkward being around them while spaced out on mushrooms. I'm probably just gonna chill in my room most of the trip, especially on the comedown. I'm gonna have a notepad to write down interesting thoughts and ideas. Also, I heard that mushroom chocolates provide a more euphoric trip because of the mood boosting effects of the dark chocolate. Should be an interesting day to say the least.

Yeah that would be awkward for me lol. The only other times i took mushrooms were late at night when my parents were asleep. I'm gonna wear sunglasses when I'm around them, I feel like trying to talk to my parents while my eyes are super dilated would be weird.

From how you described the situation it seems like your parents are pretty cool. Of course do whats most comfortable for you, but leave yourself open to the chance of chatting with your dad. Could be a nice bonding moment.
