Hey found these in my front yard the other day. Just wanting to make sure they are psilocybe subaeruginosa

Habitat: Damp Garden patch between aged pine mulchmulch NE Melbourne
Gills: Brown Gills
Stem: White, Dark Purple/Black Brusing 1cm-4cm
Cap. Rubbery, Soft cap varying from light golden yellow to a darkish brown 1cm-3cm
Spore print color: Dark
Bruising: Some are either covered in dark spores or very bruised in a dark purple to black colour
Other information: I am fairly sure these are active however thought it best to check. Have been dried for 2 days in front of a fan. Wondering why some of the smaller ones have turned almost black all over. Pics taken after drying out.

They look like subs to me! Good find. I'd wait for another ID though just to be sure Edit: I've had some go black when drying them out before, still did the job fine, maybe just a little potency loss.

Why didn't you post and ID for them when they were fresh?
When fungi dry they lose so many characteristics important for identification.

Because i'm 90% sure they're subs seeing as some grew in the same spot last year. Just getting the 100% before consumption in the next day or two

In all my years of watching fungi grown, one thing i have learned is that different fungi come and go. just because one fungi grows there, doesnt mean it will in following years. if a species consumes all its substrate it may not return the following year despite dropping spores, only to be replaced by other species. I have seen this with countless patches. dont trust the idea that if they were there last year they'll be there this year.
in this case they look like Psilocybe subaeruginosa, i can see bluing on many specimens, so its likely they are.

Thanks for the heads up man. Pretty new to this whole thing. Here are some pictures of a fresh one. I left a few in the garden to leave spores for next year.
