i am using two layers of tyvek over the mason jar lid with the seal ring side facing upwards. also after inoc i put a layer of micropore tape over the holes, in some cases two layers of micropore tape. the same tek as matt stiddard's youtube vids for perfect rye grain spawn

It looks good to me. I think you're just over thinking things. MP tape works fine. I personally triple layer and I've just recently heard 4 layers work. I do 3 cause I'm paranoid.

I'd just let them do their thing. I seldom let my grains get wet enough to be seen on the jar walls and it works out great

What you should do now is just wait and toss if it gets moldy. In the mean time make more in case these fail so you have a crutch? The sooner the better imo. Who doesn't love new projects? :P

Ay op, sorry for describing oat prep to you. Thought that's what you were working with... my bad.

I think your jars are going to be fine, all of them. Just wait for germination.

I weigh my grains before and after hydrating/soaking or cooking. If they are too light I add more water to the jar or cook them again.

i let the grain soak for 18 hours with gypsum, then boiled for 10 minutes, then put in PC @ 15psi for 90 mins and i let them cool overnight in the PC before inoculation the jars are kerr 16 oz jars and i put a thin layer of dry verm at the bottom to prevent excess moisture buildup at the bottom of the jar, then i put the in a TiT for 3 days so far at 80-81F with a garbage bag over them

I would lose the garbage bag and lower the temp into the low 70s man.

Whats your room temp, is it above 60-64? If so then I would lose the incubator all together
