ID Request, Victoria, Aus

Habitat: Leafy grassy area near river in the Vic High Country, growing from the grass and under leaves etc. (see photo - frosty morning )
Gills: Creamy white
Stem: Whitish, strong, woody feeling, sometimes a big darker - a lot of the mushrooms were slightly waterlogged which may have caused increased darkness in the stem.
Cap: Caramel brown (see photo) between 1.5cm and 5cm, sometimes yellow - a lot of the samples were frosted over due to the cold
Spore print color: Purple black
Bruising: Some blue bruising, some stems bruised a darker grey colour (see photos)
Location: Grassy area near river in Vic High Country
Pretty confident about most of the batch but I'm concerned that I might make a mistake when I've picked so many (hence the spore prints).
Thanks!

Didn't you already get these ID'ed a couple hours back?
I remember checking that thread and you had multiple replies yet you hadn't logged in since you posted it.

dont know if you did or didnt,
but they are all Psilocybe subaeruginosa
looks like they are from very high contry. been frozen and thawed by the looks, and some very water logged.
i would go through them and get rig of the older looking specimens, moreso the caps than the stems.

Nope - different set of samples, same location so I separated them into different posts. Will keep them together in future.
Why did you suggest getting rid of the older specimens?
I threw a few bogies into one of those photos and forgot to call them out. I thought I had stumbled across some liberty caps (the area was also littered with cow patties) but after a bit of reading I'm convinced they are not.

ooops.
Panaeolus sp. most likely
like any food product, after a while they go off. they start rotting and breed bacteria. you could get food poisoning.
if you dry them out the older ones will go powdery anyway and be of not much use.

Haha that would be funny to get food poisoning after all the worrying about misidentified mushrooms... thanks for the heads up!
I planned to grind them all down into powder to make them more consistent - do you think this is a good approach?

lots os people swear by it.
my concern with that is that by mincing the mushrooms you expose more Psilocybin ans Psilocin to air and it will breakdown quicker.
