I have been successful with pf tek for 2 yrs now and now I would like to go to bulk. Best advise from someone please The bag is only 1b but have other bags ready to inoculate if i do this right. Thanks friends!

Allow me to direct you to the following links
The "old-school" Damions 50/50 coir tek:

Damion's is easy and it works well for a lot of people. If you'd like more reliability, read over Franks Simple coir/verm method. It is a lot like Damion's 50/50 but he'll show you how to take a few extra precautions in order to ensure even pasteurization.

-------------------- Studying mycology since: August, 2008 A typical monotub grow of a multi-spore rye spawn with some Golden Teachers: inoculated on day one and saw first signs of growth on day 5. On day 17 jars were 15% - 30% colonized so shook em up. On day 25 I mixed the spawn and sub in the monotub and on day 50 harvested the first flush. Just under 4 ounces dry in 1 month 19 days! It's not 50/50 anything, his name is Damion5050. It's more like 80/20.

If you're just looking for a casing a 50/50 peatmoss/verm mix will do, that Damion tek is for bulk substrate.

It sounds like he is getting his terms mixed up. You mean you're spawning to a bulk substrate, right OP?

Yah I think he's calling bulk casing. It happens . for best results mix some vermiculite with your coir. You want about 2 or 3 quarts of verm per 650 gram brick of coir or around 25%-30% verm by volume. You will also want to add a small handful of gypsum. Coir/vermiculite/gypsum(CVG) is really easy to use and contam resistant. There is no need or benefit to pasteurising either coir or vermiculite so damion5050's is fine. Franks is good too but you would never catch me wasting my time pasteurizing CVG.

Yea Muda for a while I killed myself pasturizing CVG on the stove
Now I just bucket tek, I might pasturize straw proper in water and add 30% or so in. But it is so much less work when you have a lot of tubs to mix!!

These days when pasteurisation is required. I do large batches in 32 gallon garbage cans wrapped in thermal sleeping bags. It's just a giant bucket tek with more attention put into maintaining proper temperatures. For smaller batches I use the oven. I only did stove top pasteurisation a handful of times before I got sick of the hassle and started looking for better alternatives.
