A little hike in High Point, North Carolina
    #21711379 - 05/22/15 05:08 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Habitat: Forest area by housing developments. On wood.
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

These were close to each other:

Farther away:

Please help identify these and tell me if they are in fact magical!

-assume these are wild guesses you need to disprove yourself:
maybe a tuberia
possibly a pluteus sp. but can't tell because we can't see gills
old turkeytails from last year
something other old from last year but in this case we can't see the top
more blurry ol turkey tails

you need a couple things to have better results
better research into what you're looking for if 'magical' is the quest.  don't expect a donkey to turn into unicorn for example, they don't really look the same close up and no subtitutions
and you need to take better pics of gilled mushrooms for ID.  see other peoples (good) ones for examples.

otherwise, welcome and keep posting and keep hunting!
