Agar in glad mini round questions

Hey guys, so I picked p some glad mini rounds for my agar work because I can do a no pour tek and they are reusable. But I have a few questions.
So I have a premixed powdered agar jar, do I just mix it and pour? Or do I need to heat the agar first?
Oh and for the filter on the mini rounds, can I use polyfill instead of micropore tape? OH and how big does the filter hole need to be?
Thanks for the help guys!

I feel like all this is covered in pasty's tek.
Heat the agar, pour in plates, PC. Don't use polyfill. Hole should be at most the size of a nail

pasty agar tek (glad mini rounds)
I'm sure polyfil would work. The hole is 1/4 inch. Heating the water/agar mix may be better for an even agar saturation mix but it may not matter. Good luck friend

I've never heard of someone using poly for agar plates.
But hey, if it works lol

Okay cool, because I'm lacking any sort of micropore tape. I read pastys tek, and I was wondering whether it was necessary or not to heat the pre agar mix.
Also should I PC the no pour plates for 40 minutes? OR should it be less?

40 minutes is what I do and it works great. Just make sure to let it cool properly or it creates a lot more condensation if you pull it early.

Just enough to cover the bottom really. I usually just put one large spoonful in each plate
