I know. the fast and loose way they interpret the asset forfeiture law is outrageous. I mean, I can see the sense in applying it to some filthy rich cocaine dealer moving shitloads of the stuff and using the stuff to buy a mansion and fancy cars, but there's been many cases of people just carrying lots of cash but no drugs or anything and the cops seizing the cash anyway using the insane justification that somehow the money itself is guilty. The guys can get it back eventually, after months spent in court rooms. This country is going insane.

But what did you actually do to get pulled over in the first place, were you not wearing a seatbelt? because that is a personal choice and nothing more than legal extortion.
If you were speeding or texting, then yeah, you could of effected other people so I could see that being a legitimate reason.

Oh no, I got pulled over for whiskey plates (my wonderful father had them and apparently since my car was in his name, and I was underage, 17, I had to put his whiskey plates on my car as well)
And then they popped me with weed. They took my 16 dollars when I started talking shit to them. "So where'd you get this from?" "A guy named Joe" "This guy Joe got a last name?" "Doesn't everyone" "What is it?" "Joe Mama, Bitch!"
They didn't think it was funny.
They stole my fucking backpack too because it was a "bong carrying device"
And that conversation went like this, one officer to another : "Hey do we have like, an evidence bag to put this in?" "not that size" "Oh" to me now "We're going to have to take your backpack too" "Oh come on you're just taking that because you don't have an evidence bag" "No actually now it's a bong carrying vessel and is paraphernalia too."

You and Le_Canard are lucky. Only time I've been caught with weed by the cops it was less than a bowls worth (like literally .1 or .2 grams) and I got arrested for it and taken to jail. I wasn't a dick to the cops either. I was polite and courteous. Fucking stupid cops

Seriously. If you asshats think being a cop is so glorious why don't you do it? Why not be a force of change instead of whiny chatter?

If you're going to make that comparison why are you showing a poor part of New Orleans vs. a rich part of Johannesburg?

There we go.

Have you ever played "Syria or Detroit"?
It's where you get a bunch of pictures, and guess whether they're from war torn Syria, or Detroit.
It's not easy. http://syriaordetroit.tumblr.com/

There is. But you know what? There always has been. Contrary to what some seem to think, America has never been a utter paradise where everyone lived in a nice house and had enough food to eat.

You can go back in the pages too, there are more pictures on that page than just those ones lol.
It's like, almost as funny to play that as it is fucked up.
Play with a group of people and take turns, everyone drinks when they get it wrong, etc etc.
I really just look at the graffiti to cheat tho.

That's wishful thinking. 90% of the time they never see the money again.

I got robbed like 70 dollars and filed a police report, and they caught the guy who stole it, and I never got my fucking money back...
I doubt they'll give back a fucking penny they seize.

Yeah that too. But we're talking about cases where like... they pull someone over for a "traffic violation".. find them with 200,000 in cash or whatever, and seize it all because it might be "drug money". Most of the time they never see the money again, even if they obtained it 100% legitimately AND can prove it. Sometimes they get it back, but they have to go through months of fighting in court and thousands in lawyers fees. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/11/civil-asset-forfeiture-cash-money_n_6623972.html

Oh yeah, I know what cases you meant, I just thought I'd give a story about me getting robbed twice.
First by some fuck head junkie, and second by the fuckin' LEO's taking my shit from the fuck head junkie.
