So basically i have an ex who had me arrested over text messages from a breakup. I have a voicemail from them pocket dialing me while we were in a fight where they were trying to run me over in a car. You can hear me trying to dodge getting hit and pleading with them to stop and them yelling about wanting to kill me. Completely ludicrous but they are very vendictive and i gather figured might as well beat the other to the punch. Pretty sure they were worried i might first. Drama i know. My question is....this person still basically stalks me. Spreads rumors. And has been known to threaten others they think i may be involved with. The order of protection is set to be lifted come september. At that point in time can i file one and harrasment against them? This isnt even a revenge thing. This person is a real piece of work. And i want to make sure they stay away from me. Thats if they dont make up some bullshit before them and really fuck me as basically if they do its thier word against mine. I offered to play the voicemail to the cops when they arrested me but they didnt care. I thought about it in court but when they said it would be over with come september i figured better not drag things on. However once im in the clear id like to bring this to light as this person lives around the corner and i just dont know. Just curious. Id imagine so though. Right?

You should definitely talk to a lawyer if you haven't already. You should probably fight it so it can't be used against you at a later date. I know that's obvious advice, but it's all I've got. Sorry.

You might want to repost this in the ask a lawyer thread. Enlil looks at that one, and he's a almost definitely a real lawyer.
