Anyone know what theses Orange spots are on the bottom of my BRF jars?

They just appeared today, I did a search and it seams like others have experienced the same thing but I couldn't draw any conclusions from those posts.

Looks like wet bacterial grains stuck against the side of the jar.

It's weird, I have it in a couple jars and it's in the same place on all of them.

It's a lot more wet on the bottom. Grains have bacterial endospores that can survive high temperature. Almost all molds die within 30 minutes. The reason why we pc for a minimum of 90 minutes is to kill those bacterial endospores. Personally I pc for 2 hours and have had WAY more success not seeing wet bacterial grains.

Grains that are especially starchy have a lot more bacterial endospores. I found whole oats are way less bacterial so I'm now an oat guy.

Can you guess which one I pcd for 90 minutes and which is 120 minutes? The 120 STILL has wet looking grains on the side. Just a lot less. Hope this helps!

Another way to get the bacteria down is inoculating with a clean agar wedge

These are BRF cakes.  I did pc for 60 minutes, then turned off the burner and left it all night.  My grain jars have all been a success.  I will start pc ing for 120 from now on though.  I'm just perplexed on what could have gone wrong with the cakes?
