your ignorance regarding the history humanity & medicine shows strongly. We've made incredible strides in the last 50 years due to modern medicine. In the past lifespans were far shorter, disease & trauma ended in tragedy far more often. It has nothing to do with appropriateness. It's science, it's cutting edge, and amazing things are being done. Stick with your crystals & kumba yah if you want, but don't be giving shitty advice to those who are dealing with serious issues. Too many members of this community have succumbed to overdoses & suicide because they didn't seek or accept help. And now we have a new generation of wannabe shamans spouting bullshit in these threads. No.

Every full-blown schizophrenic I've known through support groups, waiting rooms in mental health clinics and excursions with community health groups, including my brother, has moderate-to-severe brain damage/retardation. They are permanently 'slow'. I think I escaped with a psychosis and its mild damage that recovers over the years, or else I cured both with mushrooms somehow. Just sayin'.

what you say is according to your understanding, which, frankly, is incorrect.
I understand where youre coming from, but IMO, sending your buddy to be scrutinized by some doctors wouldnt be as helpful as talking to him with love. Imagine being in his shoes
I just dont like the idea of govt. produced meds and madhouses.

No it's not incorrect, it's evidence-based fact. What you're saying is a bunch of jibberish with no backing...which is not what this dude needs.

What we "know" about "history" is what we're allowed to know. Not the truth. What of Atlantis? What of Quartz technology? What of the Law of One??
There is a saying attributed to Shakyamuni Buddha that goes something like this
Three things cannot be hidden for long. They are: The Sun, the Moon, the Truth. [EDIT] I dont mean to give harmful advice to anyone. Truly, my desire is the opposite!!!
I wouldn't recommend going to a doctor for something like that. Part of me will not accept any this modern "medicine." IDK why, but I DO know that it doesnt settle well, at least in my mind.
Something inside yells "NOOOOOO STOP THEM"
I see your point dude, it certainly does seem like i'm saying some bullshit, but i cant read a post about someone thinking about sending a friend to a doctor for a psych evaluation after a trip and ignore it

I will say this: Going to the doctor and getting put on meds after my psychotic break is the WORST decision I have ever made in my life. The meds prevented the natural healing process from taking place, and in the long run, made my condition much worse.
This person needs good friends to help guide him through this, and possibly take care of him. Healthy eating, exercise, and a positive, loving environment are the most important things now. Tell him he is going to be fine.
It has been proven that schizophrenics have a higher chance of recovery when they go unmedicated. This is a fact. All that mumbo-jumbo about early intervention and brain matter is a big steaming pile of shit. That is nothing more than sales tactics. Big pharma would go broke if they told you the truth.

Why does everyone keep assuming that going to a doctor automatically results in medication? Ah, you're all Americans. Never mind then.

Ssssslow? Is that bad? You see, it isnt a distorted mind, but all your notions.
Well, if there is a problem with selfperception, this involves there is a self. More Acid, till there is no more self to worry about.
-------------------- And thus begins the reverse-fusing of our one-dimentional understanding, and adds ever-expanding perspectives, in depth and number; splitting our perception, and in so doing, seemingly irrationally, creates yet more one-ness, with all that ever was, is and will ever be, streching across the infinite, inunderstood concept of everything, percievable and not.
