Supplements for sleep?

I have been using ghb, vaporized weed, or melatonin every single night for a year or two now. Besides those, what supplements have u found that are safe and help with sleep?
I have had serious sleep issues for a while. Meditation really helped but it's still hard unless I have the above sups on hand. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated
Preferably something that won't have me wake up groggy in the morning. Xanax, valerian, and Valium have all made me tired in the morn
I'm thinking GABA or theanine
Thanks

theanine is alright, GABA itself is worthless
i used to use lemon balm(melissa) all the time and its great for anxiety/sleep. its a bit expensive but its waaay better than theanine or valerian root

Alcohol? Leaves me with a hangover. xannies leave me groggy. Weed i already use but would rather avoid
Those are really the go-to's so i dont see what else could be suggested
Regarding phenibut, it gives me horrible headaches after I use it. VERY deep sleep tho. I think it is useful in a social context, but not a sleep/medicinal one
Also, I will check out lemon balm. I heard of it, I guess I just assumed it to be some useless hippie bullshit herb. But I will take your word and order a small amount
Are you sure that GABA is useless? it's amazon review shows up as 4 stars. That's typically my marker of a supplement's viability

Dph works for me. Makes me a bit groggy in the am but nothing a bit of caffeine can't fix.

ZMA and kratom. I actually slept without etizolam last night for the first time in a while because of kratom, but ZMA might help a little too. It's an OTC supplement

I read the title of this post too fast and thought it said,"supplements for sheep." Boy was i disappointed." Honestly, i used to sell supplements and melatonin is usually a last resort for me because it seems to be the strongest. Magnesium and chamomile are worth a mention.

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER, seriously kratom is lile the magical cure all on shroomery, i love the stuff too, just think its funny how any requests for a substance always gets a response of kratom.

Only if you do it orally. Oral magnesium supplements suck.

Directions : Magnesium oil is a transdermal magnesium supplement, designed to deliver magnesium through the skin, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract for convenient, rapid absorption into the cells.brbrYour magnesium oil should be applied topically with a fine mist spray bottle. Simply dispense 13 sprays into a cupped hand, then rub into the skin thoroughly. Repeat to cover arms, legs, and any areas needing special attention.
I'll give it a shot. 13 sprays is a lot tho lol

Only need about 5-8 sprays really. It's not really a lot though. I got a bottle like 2 years ago.. use it every few days.. it's still a quarter full.
The cool thing about transdermal magnesium is, unlike oral doses - you can never get too much. Your body only absorbs as much as it needs and no more. Any excess magnesium will just crystallize on your skin and you rinse it off.
And since it bypasses the gastrointestinal tract completely - no nausea, no shitting yourself.
I get the best, deepest relaxing sleep when I dose magnesium at night.
I highly recommend it though. Magnesium is good for fucking everything and transdermal is the way to go for sure.. it's ultra pure elemental magnesium and you get none of the negative effects associated with oral doses.
