Recommendation for polytubing?

Is there a specific kind I should be buying? A link to a seller would be great. I know it has to be 4 mil and 10.5" diameter, but that's all I really know. I'll be growing oysters.
Silly question: I hear a lot of people saying that you don't need to puncture the bags until the mushrooms are ready for fruiting. Where is the air exchange/humidity coming from without those holes? Thanks guys

Uline - 16" lay flat tubing will be a little over 10" real diameter
punch holes for air and fruiting. if you punch fruiting holes at 100% colonization you will wait a lot longer for harvest. i go from inoculation to pinning in 17 days like clockwork on the 3015 strain of grey/blue oyster.

I get my tubing from Uline as well at my door in just a day or two.

Im actually looking into it too... and its very pricey. FYI a 10.5 diameter bag would be a 12 inch tube flat. U can buy hundreds of feet on ULine for well over $100 or u can buy single six foot lengths from Shroom Supply. RR recommends 4 mil, 12 inch.

How so?
"To calculate diameter: multiply layflat width X .6368 = diameter" http://www.brentwoodplastics.com/layflat
10.5"/.6368= ~16.5"
And can you find RR's quote on that? I'm pretty sure that he said that 12" is the MAX diameter you can go before you get an anaerobic core. Besides, 10" logs are heavy enough as it is

Shroom supply sells individual tubes but theirs are 9" diameter. Will this suffice?

curveball here but i'm going with 5 gal buckets after considering polytube. The extra waste was not appealing to me, sure you could wash out bags but buckets are much more re use friendly. Plus 5 gal buckets you can stack and have a convenient handle on em.

I should mention the one downside, lack of transparency so you can't see contaminations.

That'll work great, just remember to poke holes in the bags for gas exchange.
Lots of people use buckets too but for your first few times I'd recommend tubing just so you can see what's going on in there.
