Hello Guys, This is my first time trying to grow mushrooms. I first tried common pf cakes but they got infected with bacteria.. At the same time i had my cakes colonizing I had some corn WBS too... they went well..
I made a MDK Syringe and inoculated three corn jars... after 10 days they were colonized.
After 10 more days fully colonized.
And then i decided to make a monotub, I used coco coir fiber, humus soil and vermiculite for the substrate.. I pasteurized it inside a plastic bag inside a pan filled with water..
Got a 35L black plastic box, filled with a 3cm verm casing , then i put the mixed spawn+bulk inside and closed it for 14 days in total darkness...
After 14 days it was like this and I decided it was time for fructifying.
I put a glass for the light and put into fructifying conditions.
After 4 days i put a thin layer of vermiculite
A few more days after I had my very first pin
As of yesterday(5 days after the first pin) that's how it was.
And that's about it guys, I'm waiting for the time to harvest them now...
I'm sorry for my English I'm from Brazil and I haven't been used to speak or write English lately so I'm a little rust..
I'll keep it updated.

Looks like the micropore could be choking it off a little. You've got a lot of fuzzy feet there. Do you fan at all?

You don't have to fan for more than a few seconds. Its just to replace the stale air. It doesn't look like its suffocating, but you could probably benefit from more FAE. I am considering using gauze as filters instead of polyfill. Micropore tape is used on jars for Gas Exchange. Its cross-sectional area is a bit small for proper FAE.
People recommend polyfil because it is adjustable.
