100% cow shit

you can see above that Primordia has begun and is knotting up. that is literally everywhere. im saying probably and week and a half until i have full grown mushies. i cant wait. my last grow i gave most of it away. im stocking up for the summer. if all goes well ill have free spore prints. or a trade for some GT prints. oh btw the spawn is either B+ or Burma...idk i mixed in both spawns so ill see what i get

Pure shit? Nice. How did you pasteurize?

i did the pillow case method. i pasteurized at 170 degrees for 2 hours. then let sit for about 4 hours . a lot of people let it sit over night. i just do it until the temps are down and wont hurt the spawn. i spawn right after that.

That would explain why some uncolonized areas have branching rhizmorphs. I always see that when the substrate was too wet. Pillow cases are impossible to make evenly saturated. I'm not trying to bash on pillowcases but when I first started and had 10 tubs going and lost almost all of them from being too wet, and all that god damn squeezing and ringing out to not even get anywhere, it just isn't worth it.
I made the switch to pasteurizing in jars. You get manure up to field capacity and pasteurize in jars. No ringing out poo either, just add the right amount of water to make everything evenly saturated. It takes an hour to pasteurize and I can make 2 tubs worth of manure in about 2-3 hours. Far superior imo

You know I agree on so many levels . This is my second grow op with pillow case method and I lost 80% of my project . I feel as long as you can squeeze it and a few drops come out then your good. But this time around the shroom gods fucked me . Took out 5 tubs

Yeah definitely horrible eh? At least you gained more experience!
This is what I use now. This is the only way to do manure. Coir is a lot more forgiving but trust me. This is the best way to do manure. Manure just takes in TOO much water..

thanks for the link. i had already made up my mind that i was done with the pillow case . this just speeds up my process of switching over. do you have aany prints you would be willing to trade? anybody for that fact. i really want some GT prints. also i think my problem this time around was that i just didn't uses enough spawn. i used the most on this tub. and its the best one i have right now. a word of advice to all the noobs looking to do bulk... more spawn. like 3 to 4 quarts . i used 2 on this one . i used 1 quart on my last grow. honestly the GT strains are just crazy colonizers.
