I've been reading about how psilocybin can fix damaged brain cells and I'm curious if it can repair the optic nerve. Maybe if I do shrooms it will fix my eyesight? Help.

I have not heard of psilocybin "fixing" brain cells but I have heard of them creating or re-routing neural pathways kinda.

every single moment you live re-routes brain cells in one way or another.
look up neurobiology of learning and memory. plasticity, or the ability for the brain to change, re-route, and any other morphological change to neuroanatomy, is our current basis for memory. It's based on high correlation with memory paradigms in study
most of the optic nerve has immune privilege and where it travels through the brain it's got the BBB anyway. it's isolated from most of the body to keep inflammation and other harmful immune response from occurring during other trauma, disease or pathogen infestation. The eye is also protected from some of the support cells that might help repair neurons like some specialized glial cells like astrocytes, which may play a direct roll in repair in some cases to other neuronal cells when damage is incurred.

well, the brain does the "seeing" via the eyeball...I have no idea what "optic atrophy" is, but if you're looking for an excuse to pick up a fun and rewarding hobby, "optic atrophy" is as good as any
P.S. If you start off doing the hobby right, you should get a "trusted companion" and be all like "I can't see and I'mma gonna use shrooms to fix my eyeballz" and build a report with this "trusted companion" and be all like "I can't seeeeeeee, take pity on meeeee... will you make these agar transfers for meh" and then your "trusted companion" will be all like "I have sooooo much sympathy for you and I'm all turned on by the fact that you trust meeee with your secret hobby that mostly consists of setting around watching stuff get fuzzy and sometimes cooking dirt and that's totally not boring but really really cool, here look at this ganaderma I found in the park" and then the first flush comes in and you and your "trusted companion" kick back put on a Korean horror film and then get all kissy kissy and slobbery and gross....
yeah, you should totally do that.
