How long does it usually take?
    #21702000 - 05/20/15 11:07 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

After you send in your resume and do a follow up call to make sure the office received your fax, and to hand it to the manager.. How long does it take, or the longest it will take?

I sent my resume in to a eye doctor place, I am hoping I get this job because starting pay is 10, but after 6 months you make 17 dollars an hour, and then  after a year they bump you to 21 dollars an hour. my two friends work there, that is how I know. i don't understand how one of them would of gotten the job but not me  My resume has to without a doubt look better than his LOL. I have a longer and more experienced job history is what I am saying. It has been a couple days already so I am getting worried. Of course I am goingto just apply to 5 other similar jobs and hope for the best

Call them, show them how serious you are. Keep on calling them.

Well when you call in you talk to the front desk, not the office manager.

So, ask to talk to the office manager?

Fax your resume? What is this 1750?

But seriously, give them a call 3 days after to make sure and ask how long the hiring process will be and how many applicants there are. Tell them that you are available for an interview at anytime and that it would be a pleasure for you to meet the hiring manager.

Sell yourself man. Make yourself look better and smarter than other people. Hell, you're already 50% there if you're not actively part of the idiot group.

Do you agree to call the office and ask to talk to the office manager directly?

Hiring manager is enough. Don't go bothering people who delegated tasks so they wouldn't have to be bothered by it.

Holy shit, okay so i called them, and the woman 3 days ago at the desk said the resume came in an she was goingto hand it to the office manager, (who is the hiring manager) I called back to talk to the office manager, manager said she never recieved any resume :thatsjustswell::dudewtf::holyfuckdude:

THESE FRIGGIN PEOPLE. they seemed extremely apologetic though, which was good. I didn't try to sound mad, but the opposite, sort of laughing it off. But WOW! Thank god I called back. I am goingto resend the resume in now and call back today  to make sure the manager gets it and to talk to her about scheduling an interview. I am beyond shocked at the incompetence.
