I wonder why people grow habaneros. I don't like the taste. It's almost vinegary. Looks really good btw I just don't get the hype.

 chili piquin is awesome. Perfect bite and spice. Very seldom have I seen it grown here though.  Chile del monte or brush chili is fantastic as well.

I personally love scoth bonnets. They're like a more flavorful alternative to habaneros. They are more fruity than traditional chillis.
Anchos are great cooking peppers. You can stuff em.with anything and they have just a touch of heat.

Well I just did another two graft attempts. This will make like attempt number 5 and 6 for me with grafts... Spaceman, I'm trying out what you suggested this time with an actual humidity chamber and made sure not to move the scion at all once it was placed on the graft. Hopefully I'll get something to take this time. Wish me luck.

Heh, I did a graft this morning because my scion was pupping towards the stock, and I didn't want it to separate. I also used Spaceman's advice of not moving it once placed.

This is my first graft that was done outside. There is a humidity chamber on my porch.

...why hasn't an outdoor humidity chamber ever come to mind for me?
I spent like 30 mins getting a desk in place and moving things around to get my humidity chamber where I wanted it.

But yeah, maybe not moving the graft when putting the scion on will help. I can see how it could help... I had always read that I needed to place the scion on and slide it into place and press it to get any air out. But maybe I will be more successful the way I tried this time...

All of my pereskiopsis was moved outside. I had a single plant growing in a small pot with some aloes. I grafted to that one. I didn't want to bring outside soil indoors, so I threw one of my domes over it on the porch. It gets diffused morning light.

Repotted my Miracle Berry plants. I read somewhere that they like very acidic soil and to use a 60%+ peat moss mix for them, so that's what I did... Hopefully they respond well.

A variety of Aloe I have starting to pup out. This was 5 days ago

This is today.

Bolivian Rainbow throwing out some nice colors

Two additions to my collection. Spearmint and Chocolate Mint.

Passionfruit cuttings starting to show a bunch of new growth.

Two more grafts I started. First is Bridge x Juuls Giant and second is a Willie.

:greenthumb:

I am jealous of your miracle berries and mint collection, I need to get on both of those myself.

Also I am said I didn't get any rainbow peppers out this year. Maybe I will try and start some early this winter in a heated greenhouse.

Nice grafts too, I am still just massing my pere so I will have tons of extra thick rooted ones to graft with.

Nice Job cRm

You have some very beautiful plants and I love your Aloe Juvenna " Minnie Belle" Aloe hybrid. I have one too and they do pup like crazy but they grow tall instead of fat which kind of takes from their initial beauty down the road but they still look nice none the less;)

I was wondering what kind of aloe it was. It was given to me as an "Equadorian Aloe" - whatever that means.

But it absolutely does grow very tall and lanky.

Naw, mine came from my Grandmother who got it from her neighbor. The neighbor said it was 'Equadorian Aloe'... I'm sure it is either what you mentioned, or what spacey mentioned. I haven't looked either of them up yet, so IDK.

Update.

Here's some of my African Violets I started from leaf cuttings last year

A Brug I rooted not too long ago from a small cutting

A good part of my cacti collection.

My most recent graft attempt. I'm trying out spacey's method this time to see how it works. It's been nearly a week since I took this pic and the graft seems like it might have taken this time...

After finding a wild passion fruit vine for the first time in my life and getting some cuttings going, I noticed these growing on my fence in my yard! They've never grown there before, and this is the first year I have ever seen a passion fruit growing around here in my life, and now it has just volunteered in my yard of all places!!!

I repotted a couple of my Kratom trees today. They get rootbound quickly!

My newest addition - Optuna! I was on a job today and the person who's house we were at let me have a pad off their plant.

From front to back, Lemon Balm, Chocolate Mint, and Spearmint

My two little Acacia confusas

Pineapple ripening

Another recent addition - little 'Ice Plant' cuttings

Last but not least, the front door of one of my beehives.
