Was your hole twice as wide and twice as deep? Trees often like better and softer soil to grow into after a transplant.

No, it wasn't... I was hoping the tree (and you guys) wouldn't notice lol.
It was twice as deep, and probably 1.5- 1.75 times as wide. I honestly just got tired of digging. Luckily though, the soil down deep was soft enough and I don't think it will have too much of a time spreading roots down there.

If you have good soil, it would not matter too much anyway. Here in Texas where I live, the soil is compacted clay and doesn't drain well. Too much rain lately is killing a pear tree I planted. Will have to redeem the guarantee at HD to get it replaced.

Here's some of the peas I got from spaceman. They are coming along nicely.

One of my pots of peres. They are really liking being outside. Look at all those leaves!
And bendy and flexible all the way down.
And a little pepper plant flowering-
Tag was lost but it is either one of my Bolivian Rainbows, or a plain ornamental pepper...
And here is one of my new acquisitions on the ride home with me. It is a Camellia sinensis. Tea!
Here's a couple neat looking orchids (sadly, not mine)

They sure seem to. I wasn't expecting them to push their pods upwards like they were. I've never grown a pea like them before. Can't wait to get eating!!!!!

Nice cows. Have you got your pereskiopsis in the shade? They look quite supple, similar to my outdoor grown ones.

They are outside in full sun until about lunchtime, when the sun passes behind the building and they are in the shade the rest of the day. They are loving it!

Man I would love to get my hands on a loph. I live close to their natural habitat but they are a dying species out here so It's not really right to go hunting for one. My little san pedro garden will suffice for now.

Those Granny peas are looking marvelous there cRm
I can not wait till you get your first bushel to shell.
You'll want to boil them with some salt and a couple pieces of bacon to your own liking.
I have a couple more recipes to change it up a lil if you want just pm me and I'll get it to ya when your ready.
I'll fill you in when I get some word back from the seed company I had study them.
Keep us all updated and I'll add some pics of my own here soon

Sounds good man. I've been shelling them as I pick em and almost have a mason jar full. Seems like they are only just now kicking it into gear with their pod production.
Next year, I will give them more room in between plants... I started running out of garden space so I planted em like 18 inches apart but I think they would have done a lot better if I had the room to give em 3 or 4 feet between plants.

Couple quickie pics -
Paper Lantern Habanero

Bolivian Rainbow starting to show a color other than purple!

Khat starting to bush up. You can see the original growth draping off to the right. I nipped the tip of that one and now it is bushing nicely from the base

Hey buddy. Been really busy around here. Started a new job and been trying to manage my time around work to keep the plants happy. Doesn't leave a lot of time for much else... I haven't been posting around here nearly as much as I mean to....

Amazing work dude
You got any info on that Khat? like how easy is it to take cuttings from and what zones can it survive in?
Also has anyone here actually tried the plant to see what it's true effects are?

Well I was actually just discussing this with karode and naum in another thread, and they were telling me that the seed I got likely came from a commercial Khat farmer from South Africa that just flooded the market with his seeds when S.A. banned Khat.
If that's so, then this plant likely will not fall into the general Red or White or even the Broad and Narrow leaf categories generally associated with the plant.
This plant was started from seed right at a year ago. Out of the ~15 seeds or so I started with, 4 sprouted and this is the only one that survived to adulthood. It stayed really small over the winter and when the weather warmed up it really took off with growth.
As far as propagating it further, I understand that rooting cuttings is ridiculously hard. The best way is to wait for a sucker to come up from the base of the plant and dig it up and repot it. Apparently the White variety doesn't produce suckers as readily as the Red. But since this one here might be neither Red nor White, who knows how it will do...
This one here is likely too young to try to sample from and get much effect, although I hear the effect somewhere between a strong cup of coffe and a light amphetamine dose... But IDK. I chewed one leaf off this one when I nipped the tip off and it was absolutely not what I would call tasty... It didn't have the bitterness of Kratom, but it wasn't good...

Here's one of my Yaki Brown Habaneros.

Brug rooted cutting I just put outside.

One of my bigger dragonfruit plants. I really need to get this thing a stake and a bigger pot.

Khat

My garden buddy. I watched this skink run across my back yard almost the whole time I was outside this afternoon. He went about his business stalking around and eating bugs. Even jumped up off the ground at a huge hornet that was flying around him. Later on, while I was weeding dragonfruit pots, he even crawled over my foot
