Idk if id go by that. Most strains that have ever "beat" a bacteria or fungus normally still have a foot hold in the medium. Meaning if you transfer, you are likely to see it again.

Unless of course the wedge is completely away from the contaminated section.

Which of course it was plus i am aware of all that

:thumbup:that's cool:sunny: Ive had stuff like that come back to bite me. Ive seen pink bacteria live in perfect harmony with cube mycelium. Even tho the mycelium covered it....it showed its face again in clones and transfers.

Mold/fungi are always going to be a more visible and more detrimental  since they are competing with sugar consumption and have the same function. Bacteria would be after the water source and there reproductive mechanism inhibited above 6% sugar content. Excess water in jars, substrate, agar would always cause problems

Thanks guys, this tub is actually a rescue mission. Lost 12 PE jars to bacteria, cut out all the myc, soaked in peroxide, rinsed, crumbled, mixed with hpoo. I'm still trying not to get my hopes up but its vigorously growing and smells great. If it's still good at 100%, I'm adding a casing layer and crossing my fingers.
