ID Request, Outer Eastern Suburbs/Hills in Melbourne, VIC
    #21697042 - 05/19/15 03:04 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Hi lovely dudes. Would someone please help me ID these, I think they are Psilocybe Subaeruginosa..

My phone takes awful pictures so sorry about the quality.

I came across a few more on my walk back home so I there are two different groups here, same habitat just a few km's away from each other.

They were all picked from the same spot, first time I've come across this many before. I feel little guilty for taking those smaller ones, I may have got a little too excited. But, there are heeeeaps more still there.

There is a big one in there that looks a little bit pale and spotty, not sure if this is ok or not..

Thanks in advance!

Some others:

Habitat:
Outer Eastern suburbs/ hills in Melbourne.
Just by a walking track in a clearing that is connected to a national park. Trees along the side, short grass with leaves and bark covering the floor.

Spore print color:
I have a couple in process.

Bruising:
Blue bruising appears on the stem and patches on the gills. There appears to be a blue ring around the outside of the cap on all.

Other information:
I did not sense any strong odour. The larger ones appear to have darker / patchy stems.

Thanks so much!!

Mind you I'm not personally aquainted with Psilocybe subaeruginosa, and your pictures are a little amiss
when it comes to lighting. But it seems to me you've hit the spot on most of these. Wait for an Aussie TI
to confirm, as I've only ever seen this species on pictures.

Oh man no, bummer from my side. Semi-excuse I only had one coffee so far this morning.

Hm... perhaps "Oceania TIs" is a valid term?
