So I made a little extra CVG substrate than I needed and still got like 2 bags of it.
Can these be stored for a long period of time and still be of use? I'm asking cause I hate wasting

How can I use it later? Just pass through the same bucket TEK?

I know this post is 4 years old but im going to ask anyways. How does one dry the coir/verm?

Props on using the search function
I live in a low humidity climate, so keep that in mind, but I just spread it out on a window screen and let it dry out. I just try and pasteurize it again when I am ready to use it.

I read so many old post glad they are still available! Do you think laying the bulk on some alum foil and placing it in the oven for X time would be safe? Than of course re-pasteurizing it when needed....

Coir yes ...i often just jar it and pressure cook it and throw them on the shelf for later use. That later can often be months lol

I have never ever ever ever seen a contam on coir in a bucket that I bucket tek'd in after the fact. even months and months later and kept outside. just goes to how that coir is bomb proof and its the spawn that be startin' sheeit. I was wondering about a formula for coir that's at the capacity that's sold in already hydrated bags(not quite field capacity) Ive tried a few ratios but haven't nailed it yet. accidentally had some water get in my coir bin
