Hi friends, I would really appreciate your opinion on what species this is:

Habitat:
Moist woodchip mulch in a shaded area

Gills:
Tan to brown when older, not attached

Stem:
Up to approx 5cm. Hollow. 

Cap:2-4cm

Spore print color:
Chocolate brown

Bruising:
Occasionally purple or purple/greenish, but not prolific

just double check the bluing but they look ok.

They look like Psilocybe subaeruginosa to me. The spore prints look great!

These look a little worse for wear. If a TI confirms these are subs, be careful not to eat anything mouldy or you could get sick. And try to sever them at the base by pinching or with scissors rather than ripping them out of the ground as this damages the substrate and may affect fruiting in the future if you do it excessively.

Thanks all, I appreciate it.

Will be more careful with snipping rather than pulling out of the soil.
Is there anything I can do to help them along? Watering?  Adding more mulch or nutrients?

You can water the patch if it hasn't rained in 2-3 days I would imagine. Add new mulch before next season to give the myc more fresh substrate to grow from, but don't add it until the patch stops producing.
