So I inoculated about a week ago, and the jars hasn't shown any growth. I'm using BRF tek with Syringes. These are cubes, the strain is Lipa. Is lipa known to form mycelium at a slow rate? It has been kind of cold this past week. around 68-70 degrees.
I believe what I know what is wrong, my thought is that the syringe ended up being bunk, but I would like to know what you guys think. I'm going to wait a couple more days, probably until Wednesday, if I don't see any growth I'm going to reinoculate them with another lipa syringe.

patience is a virtue in this hobby from one so far sucessful noob to another my advice is look really closely at your syringe is there tiny floaties? Spores are microscopic so if if you can see even a tiny speck theres hundreds of spores another thing did you pull sterile air (air from inside a flame) into the syringe and shake it to break the spores up? I like to pretend im a doctor and flick the needle tip (with the cap on of course) i have some pf classics and one of the jars took 1 1/2 weeks to show any signs of life also your sniffer is your best friend most contams at least the ones that are hard to detect with your seers smell like rancid ass pics will help the trusted cultivators help you so the more the better hope this helps

Yeah I plan on being patient, but this is my first time mycelium development has lagged for me this long. Yeah I always shake my syringes and check if i see any floating spores in the syringe, which I already indicated it had spores.

Those temps are fine!
Lipa is a ps. Cubensis variety, and all cubensis have the same growing parameters.. its impossible to tell you if your Lipa is going to be faster or slower than my Lipa.
Anywho, if they dont germinate dont inoculate the same jars... empty them out, sterilize them again.

Depending on variety, strain, temps, etc. they could take up to a couple weeks to show growth.
I have seen spore inoculated jars take anywhere from a few days up to a couple weeks to start colonizing. Be patient, you should see something soon assuming the spores are present, viable and all went well.

hmm I'm hoping so, because i have another Lipas syringe waiting to be used. The substrate also looks fine, not looking dry at all, but yes i'm going to be patient, probably wait until Wednesday and see what happens.

I would give it more time than that... like I said, sometimes it takes awhile. If everything else looks okay (no visible contams or other obvious problems) just wait it out. Patience is key in this hobby. Good luck!!
