Started my collection
    #21691503 - 05/17/15 05:35 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Little visit to a friends Cacti garden and I've come home with a brand new collection, already have plenty of succulent types but wanted to make a start on rearing some Cacti. Was a little confused with Cacti in the first picture as there are no spines? was no spines from the mother plant either could it possible be a San Pedros?  :justdontknow:

First if Trichocereus Scopulicola, second is echinocereus sp?, third is oputina sp.

The 2nd might be an Echinopsis?

Off to a good start..

Yeah.. let the cuttings Scar over, before you start trying to root them.

Good luck. That's a nice friend to have, to give you cuttings.

Ive got some small pups rooting at the moment. Its been about two weeks, but with the small size of my cuttings, I expect at least another month. It takes longer for small and well watered cuttings to root.

They're scarring well thanks to temperate weather and a bit of warming breeze blowing through. Thankfully they all have very established cacti gardens so pups are in abundance
