Mad Max : furry road..
    #21691174 - 05/17/15 04:14 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

This movie is so awesome.

Do you like good metal? Do you like awesome cars. Do you like violence , Do you like hot strong female characters doing it.

See how can you not love this movie. If I was a teenage boy and had watched this movie. I would not have been able to get up because of the ranging hardon I'd have.

I know some of you are fans of this genre and I would suggest you go see it. Best movie I've seen in years

Nah dude Mad max series was always way over the top before the violent cartoon porn you watch.

Australia is bad ass.  But so is violent cartoon porn. .  :cultureclash:

I have been seriously disappointed in many of the remakes or squeals of movies I loved came out. This is not one of them. This is the original Director and writer and they do a great job.

Im a huge fan of the series and post apolitical action movies . This was by far one of the best ones Ive seen

Mad Max the original film was not so over the top as it eventually got afterwards, and then this remake, is obviously super over the top. but it's done in a neat way, it's not really "cartoony" so to speak, it's just a really warped "period shift". it's almost ironic. that's what it is.

it looks really good. i saw the trailer yesterday, and for some reason i was averse to it at first, but thinking about it, it could be quite a ridiculous movie, probably pretty funny AND awesome. but the guitar guy made me think: "well, ok then. that is fucking ridiculous". that could be a good thing, i dunno, i haven't seen it yet.

PS: and yeah Australia is badass.

I went to go see it with my father and he said it was the best of the series. Says max was never a talker so the no dialogue made sense to me. From what he's told me it fits right into the series and isn't some reboot like they do now. Some of the camera work made me feel edgy though. How they sped up the frame work in a few action scenes. Noticed some dark humor in it too.

and its suppose to be the last movie or whatever, not a remake

Dude the original was cartoon as it could be interesting facts about that movie cost less then a 3/4 million to make , Mel Gibson first movie he was paid 15,000 for it and was the only one to have real leather.
This is just what he couldn't do in the 80's but he's doing now. I urge you to see it and watch at least the first two and you will see why this is by far the best one . Not trying to be a dick but this is my favorite genre by far.

probably one of the best movies I have seen in a LONG time.  The movie literally never slowed down, i was clinching my fists through out most of it.  George Miller gave a fucking clinic to up and coming directors with this movie.

Tom Hardy signed up to do 3 more.

Loved, loved all the characters in this movie.

Ive never seen a movie twice in a theater but I will this one.

I did get it cheeper. Sounds like you need Costco and some. Paper bags.

We saw it for 7 bucks a piece and my pop corn is better and comes with real butter.

As for why not just watch a bunch of metal videos at home go see it on a Sunday morning tell your wife you are going to church or something. The  only people who say you've saved money by not seeing it on the big screen obviously hasn't seen it ye t.

Apparently all the vehicles are drive able.  Drag fees hippie ass to it too he could use some toughen up.  I wouldn't take mushrooms and watch it. you two wouldn't make it back to the car.

im curious how u manage to make better popcorn than the theator?  Our theator, the popcorn is much more dense, bigger, ect.  And when u ask for extra extra extra butter then put a bit of salt on it yourself and shake, it actually tastes like it did 20 years ago

But, at home, weither its bagged popcorn, or cooked in a pan, ect.  I always get wispy pussy popcorn that basically melts in your mouth, and altho i could melt butter, i have a feeling it wouldn't really match the stuff at theators, not to mention it melts the popcorn and makes it soggy

What I do is I buy good corn to pop then I put about 1/4 a cup in a paper bag and pop it for 2:45 . while that's happening I hear the butter in a pan (brown butter is amazing)  pour half hot butter in the bag add salt and pepper shake add rest of butter.

I also make Carmel corn this way too. That turns out amazing. The butter you get at the movies isn't really butter but some oil that's designed to taste like butter.

Plus I don't want to spend 12 bucks on pop corn and a soda when I can bring my own for less then 1.75

LOl I thought ton of those parts were kinda stupid like it didnt have to run 2hrs if they didnt get stuck like 6 times. Idk i jus kinda was expecting a little more substance from the story. It was def one of the best movies ive seen in a long time tho fosho.

It had to do with their theology. When the big ugly evil dude sprayed the bald skinny dude before he was sent on top of the trunk to sneak inside, he told him "You will arrive as crome in the city of Valhalla" or something like that. Thus they spray it as a reminder of their entry or something before they kill themselves.

That's exactly what someone who is addicted to sliver spray paint and the blood of Jesus Christ would say.

Ya I dont think it was an actual high. They were all just stoked to die. They mentioned Valhalla many times, and even after the bald guy was sprayed by the head Chief he didnt have the manic craziness from when the other guys sprayed themselves. I think its just a preparation for when they die and achieve the highest honor

I'm a can of Mad Max but I was disappointed with the new one.
The plot line sucks. Let's drive forever just to turn around.

I just think the hype of this move is a joke. Everyone is acting like its some amazing fucking film and critics are raving about it. It wasnt that good. It wasnt bad, but the fact it is getting such out of the park reviews is stupid

You got it wrong. The plot made sense: the place they headed for was destroyed so they discovered there was nowhere else to go.

It was their best chance at survival to go back to the Citadel since their defense was down.

the "green place"  was a toxic waste land.  they had the choice of driving for 160 days into a wasteland with the good chance of dying or turn around and go back to the Citadel.  How does that not make sense?

I personally thought the plot was fantastic.  Imortman Joe was trying to raise a cancer free race and had control over the resources.  He was on top of the world.  When Furiosa fucked that up all hell broke loose.  I personally thought the movie was not long enough. but knowing hardy is doing 3 more gave me  boner

The new ones are supposed to be prequels. I hate that. They are meant to explain what Joe did to Furiosa etc.

Given all the hype I've read about it, I was kinda disappointed with it. I expected some movie I was going to fall in love with and watch 100 times. What I got was "just another movie". I liked it no more or less than the average movie that comes out these days.

On it's own, it's a good movie. With all the hype though, I expected something much greater.

Just saw Fury Road.  I thought it was pretty awesome.  It's like a crazy two hour long action sequence, which makes me forgive the bare bones plot. It was nice to see a movie not padded out with dialogue just for the sake of stroking the writer's ego.  Just nonstop action, lots of fun.  Recommended on the big screen, I don't know if it would be as fun at home.

As excited as I am for a new Terminator movie, the preview I liked best was for the new National Lampoon's Vacation movie. lol
