yes, if your window gets a lot of sunlight it can be eve better than outside ( temperature gets higher inside, plus no worries about rain, wind and atmospherical disasters.)

Beautiful exemplar. As i said before, a window can get enought sunlight . but it really depends on the location , If you have a south facing window (If you are in the northen hemisphere) you get plenty of sun. also east and west facing are still ok.

ode said: I've managed to stumble across a Lophophora williamsii plant believed to have aged at least 15 years. I've done some research, but couldn't find a definitive answer for a plant this old. Can it simply be left indoors on a windowsill and watered as necessary?
Thanks!
Nice plant, IMO fits the description, don't overwater her and she'll shine...Hey why can't I stumble across some peyotes!?! !?!

Yea, it's better to give less watering than too much. But every watering you should soak the soil for good and get it full moist.
Then wait long enough before watering again.
If lophophora plant spent time in dry enough long, you'll feel it with your fingers how soft it goes, so let it be soft for a while and then give a drink for plant. It will swollen and get firm in few days. Then it dries again and so on... Repeat that watering like every 4-10weeks. You can sometimes give more often water etc. Thing is they may grow very un-natural by appearance if you keep watering like it's every 2 or 4 weeks and never more or less.
They seem to do well with very random watering, with no cycle for it what-so-ever.
I water mine some 5-7 times per grow season, rest half year over dormancy I don't water nor care my yote.
