I just added an exhaust fan to my GH to up the FAE.
my fruits were starting to look a bit long and skinny.
lots of clusters though.

The smaller bucket I made is looking pretty good 15 days after it was spawned.

I'm now thinking the small caps have more to do with inadequate lighting than FAE. I added 4 more CFLto my grow room. Hopefully it helps.

no its fae. look at these. lack of fae at first in my tub made them long and stringy. i then opened up the tub lid, turned the fan on and introduced enough fae that i had to mist them a few times a day on the sides of the tub. everything dried out and i didn't really have the time to give them any tlc. but you can see how the caps started opening a little. so i caught it slightly too late. if i had listened to good advice and not have been so stubborn i would have opened the tub lid immediately after clusters formed. i was too worried the tub would dry out and it did.

It was a bit late for this flush but conditions seem much better now.

I fried up some of the Mediterranean oysters yesterday and used them to make a pretty good pasta sauce.

I started using these 40L tots instead of 5 gallon pails. They cost half as much as pails and hold twice the substrate. They also make better use of my limited fruiting space.

did you get a 2nd flush off those orange 5 gallons?
mine flushed twice and i had some awesome clusters but i was at work for 12 hours and didn't have the chance to open the tubs again. ug. im tempted to do a bag grow in the shape of a monotub next. but leave the bag closed. when pins form, cut holes around the clusters and fruit it like a regular monotub. but with the lid off. im thinking this will help the moisture issues im having now in the open air. when i fruit out of bags, the moisture inside the sub is retained rather than opening up the surface and it loses all the moisture and fruits dry out.
im making oysters mushroom tacos for breakfast now!

I haven't had a second from the blues yet but I got a second flush from the Mediterranean buckets. Picked a bit late. I'm making a 3 oyster omelette with blue, Mediterranean and king oysters.

I've got the FAE and lighting sorted out. My king oysters and lions mane are looking much better too. Now I just need to do something about the RH so I don't have to mist as much.
I just started cooking the mushrooms for my omelette.

For me the point of a GH is to have a large enough area to fruit everything. If I wanted to do nothing I'd still be growing cubes in monotubs. I have virtually no humidity source ATM. There is an evaporative cool mist in there but it's more for air movement than humidity. I want to set up a fogging system but I can't find pond foggers locally and I fucking hate ordering shit online.

i feel your pain. sux man foggers are the best for sure. did you try mainland mart? ive used some of the smaller units for room size operations. that and some 3" sewer hose works nicely.
i do hate ordering online but one of these will last a lifetime. also shipping might be costly to the north. i can't say i have ever seen any of these at home depot or any pond stores.
http://www.mainlandmart.com/foggers.html
so your grow fruiting room is basically a large room with a little humidity and a little fae? do you have any pics of it?

It's a 5x8 plastic room with a little humidity and a shit load of FAE. On it's own the RH stays between 60% and 70% compared to the rest of my house which sits at 15% to 20% that's not so bad.
I have a 70 CFM exhaust fan running for 15 minutes every 45 minutes. There is a 12" fan that blows air in at the top of the GH at the same time the exhaust fan sucks air out the bottom. There is also a hose running into the top from a box I keep full of ice blocks. The ice box is hooked up to an air purifier fan that runs constantly. It keeps my temps from getting too high. In the center of the GH is a cool mist pointed at the back wall. The only pic I have was taken a while ago it is set up quite differently now.

It was never intended to be more than a temporary solution to my fruiting problem. I have plans for a 10x12 fruiting room on the other end of my basement but recent financial issues have delayed it's construction.

Muda I have always wondered since I myself only dabble at the farmers market and feed family members, what do you plan to do with the proceeds of a 10x12 room?

Oysters sell for $13 to $14 at grocery stores here and quite a few of them buy local produce. If I can get everything dialed in properly I hope to sell to them. If not my uncle is a chef and my kids go to school with the owners of a few restaurants. I'll find something to do with them.

ah yeah muda. well you can build a greenhouse working for relatively cheap with what you have available now. it may be a matter of changing a few settings. i guess the ice box is necessary for summer temps? does the basement have hvac? i am assuming no.
