Couple questions about growing and mass cloning young seed grown cacti

I've been thinking this over for the past few weeks on whether a cactus's make up is diminished by mass cloning.
I've been growing lophs for the past few months from seed and have done a lot of grafting to peres as well with them so I was wandering how well this would work.
Say I grafted a loph seedling to peres and grew it out to about the size of a 3yo root grown plant and cut it above the graft connection then plant for it to grow it's own roots I know the bottom left on the peres should pup right giving a new clone to work with? Then lets say I let my cutting put out roots for about 6 months and I did the same and grafted the crown back to peres then waited a couple months and did this all over again would I ever see any diminishing return?
Lets say maybe I did this as well with Trichs would there be any change there?
Also is there anyone around here that have planted trich seeds and have a full grown plant hand grown now from this.
I know karode has a serra Blue that he grafted really well and grew out to a large size but I just don't see many plants in peoples possession that are claimed to be seed grown. Why is this?

My theory on your last question about not many seed grown plants is that I think it's a fairly recent development that people are taking so much interest in growing trichs. I've done tons of research and read all kinds of forum posts and most of the ones regarding how to grow from seed seem to be within the last decade or less. It's still very much a niche market that most people don't have the patience for.
As for your first questions, I've wondered this myself. In essence, you're asking the same thing I was asking too: Are cacti immortal?

the fact is that a lot of plants are easier to reproduce by cuttings then by seeds. Namely Hylocereus Pc Pachanoi, list goes on and applies more on columnar cacti. I didn't understand the question perfectly because i'm dizzy and tipsy, but if the question is : is cloning convenient? my reply is : yes, if you propagate when mother pnat has reached full girth/optimal growt. if the question i: Are cacti immortal? Yes, Pc Pach is the proof, (also Eulichnia Castanea mosntrose seems to be a propagation made by a single unique clone)
If the question was another one, please explain that to me in a easier way so i can reply tomorrow

When talking trichs, what would you class as full grown?
I've not been growing them long enough yet, this is the largest I have from seed, no grafting involved, planted out in the ground :
June 2011

December 2012

June 2013

October 2013

August 2014 30" total length, centre cut is 1kg fresh weight, still didn't try eating it though!

May 2015, top cuts rooted

The stump has put out 2 pups since spring has started. So, still a few years away from a substantial amount of cuttings.

So from seed to mass propagation in four years? Looks lovely by the way

This might be a good question to cross reference with the (Cannabis-people). I know that a "mother plant" may last about 5-6 years (that's about the longest I have had a plant keep reproducing for. with several bud cycles and give many clones, before she just gives up. Now.. .I am not sure with cacti, how many generations of clones could be done. I would be interested to hear about this also, from other experienced Grafters. I just did my (first) Pereskiopsis graft with a Ariocarpus fissuratus-hintonii, yesterday.

I believe as long as the cactus is well established, it can handle far more cuttings. I think too many people are propogating with immature cuttinfs cuttings. Myself included. Im working hard to get an established trich garden. Its going well, but could definately use a few more years before I cut certain plants.
