Transporting substrate?

So it's finally time to spawn to bulk and just my luck I have ran out of gas for the cooker
My girlfriend has offered her cooker to cook the coir. I thought of doing that and than load them into plastic bags once cooled and transport them to my house.
The problem is I am not sure if the substrate can be transported from one town to the other when it is cooled since it is suggested to spawn it immediately after cooling.
Can I load the substrate, once cooled, into plastic bags and then bring it over to my house? Would this increase any contamination risks or it doesn't really matter since everything is going to be spawned open air anyway?

"Cook" it in bags. It shouldn't change much of anything as long as they are in closed containers of some sort to keep crap from landing in it before you actually spawn... how long are we talking about here from pasteurization til you spawn?

I let my bulk sit for a day after pasteurizing to allow the helpful micro organisms to reestablish themselves. You'll be fine.

Well I am planning to cook them today and then transport them and spawn to bulk tomorrow. Would this be fine?

Thank you! Send them good vibes! I need it!
I experienced little small dots of bacteria after my spawn has been 100% colonized. I read that this is fine and I can still spawn it. I've researched about it on here and other users have spawned spawn with small bacteria on it and had successful grows so we'll see now.
It's either I spawn or throw everything away and wait till next season

Bro... I had the meanest bacterial infection on my last sub...and I'm an idiot so I turned my tub on its side and pointed a fan at it on high for like 30 minutes...bruised the shit out of it bad bad...smmfh... but putting the tub outside at night and giving it about 20 minutes direct sunlight a day it bounced back rather well...they are pretty tough once colonized. .. when I say bad bacteria infection I mean it, the whole sub was covered in like a quarter inch of metabolites I may have a pic...

As yes now I remember you! Your post was not long ago
I'm happy to hear things worked out fine for you It gives me hope that I'll be fine. My bacteria infection is not really bad. Just a small dot of yellow stain on the top of the fluff-mycelium that forms on the top of the grains.
Edit; I check on them again. I have no metabolites just those small opaque/yellowish stains. Really small dots, about the size of a sharpie dot mark on white paper.

Yeah...a fully colonized sub is surprisingly resilient...

Okay I searched "yellow stain on colonized mycelium" and came to the answer that it is metabolite however not always due to bacterial presence. It could also mean I should have spawned it earlier
So excited for tomorrow! My first spawn to bulk
Hope everything turns out alright

What tek did you use for bulk substrate ? And did you follow to the T or did you do it differently? If so, care to explain your steps?
I do not have pails with lids. I just have buckets and my wok lid fits perfectly

I spawned 1:1 spawn to coir/verm/worm castings...I fucked around and sterilized my bulk instead of pasteurizing because I'm dumb... that's why I got contaminated so badly...plus I birthed it early...all kinds of fuck ups that I got to learn from...I learned all kinds of what NOT to do...

Is this just CVG you're pasturizing? You could just bucket tek man all you need to do is put it in a bucket, add 3.5-4qts boiling water per brick of coir and close the lid.. mix up after an hour or so and let it cool with lid on. '
Coir is the only sub you can get away with simple heat treating

Yes I am using CVG
650grams of organic coir 2 Quarts of vermiculite 1 cup of horticulture gypsum
I am using mudafuka's improved bucket tek
I added that recipe into bucket #2
So far I heated 2 large pots of water around 4-5ltrs of water till it reached around 170F
Poured water from pot #1 into bucket #1 Put bucket #2 into bucket bucket #1 Poured water from pot #2 into bucket #2 Mixed it in well with a wooden spoon (some of the coir was very hard to mix in. I am hoping with the steam and heat it will seep in and hydrate it) Covered it with my wok lid (its the only lid I had that matched the circumference of the bucket) Put the stack into a sleeping bag Folded the sleeping bag multiple times after zipping it covered with a warm hoody
I measured the temperature using one of my reptiles thermometer lol
Its Sunday, I did not have a meat thermometer and I am the kinda guy that uses things which I don't have.
Timer is on right now for 1hour. Afterwards I will check again and hoping it stays around the 140F, mix it in well again and then let it over night to cool down for several hours covered with the lid
Tomorrow morning I will use gloves and pack into freezer/oven bags to take home with me and then spawn to bulk

Yea like I said with coir you can just add boiling water.
If you were adding in Hpoo or straw you would want to pasturize proper between 140-170 for an hour

I was going to add spent coffee grounds but I was advised against it since it's my first time so I just used good ol'fashioned CVG
