Here's a pic of it pushing through the casing layer. I'm gonna put this into the FC tomorrow methinks. Will keep updates if/when it fruits!

Here's a pic of the first brave pin to shoot up from this catastrophe. To clone or not to clone? I think this little bastard should go straight to the agar.

Tons of pins! Got like 10 early risers, and there's knots EVERYWHERE. This garbage dump of a tray might be my most successful grow yet.

I can't believe how many knots are forming. Huge clusters everywhere. Hpoo and casings are my new best friends. I did, too clone that first lil fatty and the myc is colonizing the agar as we speak. When I get it to a true monoculture, I'm going to separate the wedges into 4 LC jars that I have already PC'd and prepared. From there, I'm going LC to grain, grain to hpoo/verm, colonize and cased monotubs.

kn33b said: Checked on 12 half pint PE jars the other night only to find that ALL TWELVE were contaminated. Now. I never have contams in my jars. I mean, it's almost fool proof. I won't go into details about sources or names, but they were all MS inoculations with a fresh sterile point. A few of the jars were at 70%, some at 30%, and half at 10%.
I don't give up that easily.
I'm not sure at this point, where the open avenue for contams was, but either way, 12 out of 12 jars? It had to be A: The jars were bigger than my usual ones and 35mins @ 15psi wasn't enough or B: the syringes I got were contaminated.
I decided to try something but expect nothing. After all, this stunt would mess up my entire rotation. I cut out all the contaminated grain, and soaked the colonized parts in a 1:10 peroxide and water acid bath. This shit looked like a science fair volcano project. I did that 3 times and let them soak in mineral water for about an hour while I got the garbage out and bleached everything. Then, I sterilized some 1:1 hpoo/verm with a lil gypsum. Crumbled up the myc and threw it all in a 9x12 aluminum pan with a clear raised lid on it.
I checked in on the "last resort" today and voila! It's colonizing like crazy! It's lovin up that hpoo like a fag falling through a tree of dicks.
My reaction reading your first post:
You're my new hero. With all the contam nazis floating around this place I'm thrilled to see someone thinking practically.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I took the first pin to agar (it was a fatty) and I'm gonna take one from a good cluster in a few days. There's two weird ass looking ones I might do just for kicks... because they look weird. What do you think?

And the little guy next to this one:

Is that the same strain on those cakesas the trays? Looking good , especially those Pe. I haven't grown them and they will be next after my current Pan. Project. I definitely like that their stems arent hollow.
Once again, great job on the grow
