i had awesome luck with cakes as spawn, 8 or 9 pint jar cakes= about 1lb of shrooms(like i said awesome luck) i made 4 mini mono's and got about 3-4 flushes out of each tub... the spawn ratio was low but i took extra care to keep everything as clean n sterile as i could.... worked for me

Thats because your washing out the nutrition and carbohydrates by adding verm. Ferted paper *experimental* has better results. You combine the requirement for verm, and hpoo without washing out nutrition. You also add slightly more food than verm, cellulose.
For example mycelium has maximum growth potential with a substrate with 4mg of zinc per 100g, if a grain has only 2mg dry, thats 0.66mg hydrated. Take away your verm.
My experiment with WBR and ferted paper. You can see day by day growth doubled. And was very thick and radial.
Any easier option is to fert your grain and try a whole grain tek or 50/50 whole grain and chopped straw tek.

ok so after reading a few posts i would like to summarize what i understood:
-inoculate cakes, wait till 100% colonized. -pasteurize the manure (i am not going to buy fresh manure dunno know if this gonna make difference some says yes others says no) -crumble the cakes mix them with the manure...ratio 1:3. -put them on an aluminum tray. -cover with foil. -wait 7 days -after full colonization introduce to the FC with perlite...mist and fan.
i have got a few questions:
1-the most suitable aluminum tray? (lengths suitable for 1/2pints jars of brf and 3 1/2pints jars of manure) 2-should i mix it like this: manure sub manure? 3-iam still confused about the final results? does it make a big difference? does it worth it?
any links you think they are important for the brf-bulk are more than welcomed. i have found this one to be useful: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/723303/fpart/3/vc/1#723303
