ID Please. Possible Polyporus squamosus

Habitat: Found in a small forested area next to a small creek. growing off an old tree stump.

Location: North east USA

While out hunting for morels i found this instead.

Hopefully someone will know what kind of mushroom this is.

Here is another mushroom i found growing on an old tree in front of an abandoned house. it was so huge i could see it from the road while driving by.

Possibly the same species? unfortunately i did not get a photo of the underside of this one. it was fairly old and dried out.
