Putting Azure/Cyan Mycelium in a "bark" company's wood chips??
    #21684153 - 05/15/15 06:01 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

So I have a few tubs of Azure/Cyan/Stuntzii Mycelium.  But a huge problem is where should I inoculate it at?  I am moving out of my place in a few months, so I have to place the Mycelium somewhere else.

Question 1.

There is a fairly new complex with hardly no business's in it.  The main thing though is they have sprinklers, since I won't be able to keep watering it all year.  Place the Myc there??

Question 2!!!!

There is also a "bark" company very close to me.  Could I essentially put a ton of mycelium in there pile of wood chips? They would be transported all over town, and it just seems perfect to me???

1- sprinklers good, but they have to have the right kind of woodchips
2- bark doesn't work. Has to be alder or maple chips. And large piles of bark get HOT. They promote a whole other set of fungi/bacteria. So it's doubtful it would work.

I'd say find a nice park to deposit your chips into and come back in the fall

As of late I have been taking a little Myc with me, and just putting it in chips I think would work.
