How many spawn jars can I prepare with 1 10ml syringe of spore liquid?
I'm about to start my first grow and I would like to harvest a decent amount of fungi !

I've still got just under 10 ccs cause I use agar haha. 10+ jars depending on how heavy your thumb is is the answer. Yeah probably be better in mush cult
Also how on earth do you remember your user name?? LOL

So I just barely squirt any into the jar? And it's not TOO hard

1 cc a jar is almost too much. That means like a quarter of a cc per inoculation hole.

Does amount of spores actually effect speed of colonization substantially?
For example, I have probly 4 bags of different grains that I injected with 1 10cc spore syringe. Only 1 so far is showing good growth. If i add another syringe between all of them will it colonize faster? Thanks for any input guys

Take your spores to agar then. You'll have an unlimited amount of inoculant if you do it correctly.

il look more into it but that has to do with constantly putting more of your mushroom or spores onto agar in petri dishes for constant regrowth correct ?

You put spores on a dish and cut out sections that are better at colonizing and put into jars or onto another dish, giving you aggressive mycelium all around the board. You can continuously transfer to new dishes as it gets overgrown or throw into fridge for a year or 2. A lot longer than 2 years if you use test tubes (slants)
You can also have a plate contaminated with stuff and cut out clean mycelium giving you a new clean plate. It's also the only way to clean a culture from contamination

I'm not trying to nit pick you, so don't take it that way, but dishes actually only last a few months until they dry out in the fridge(most of the time). They definitely won't last a year, and certainly not 2 years. Even a large master slant with a piece of wood is pushing it at the 2 year mark, and could be hard to revive.
Petris/jars filled with agar will last a few months, but master slants will last a year.
I can't suggest agar highly enough. It's the single most important aspect of this hobby to learn IMO. What's better than having basically guaranteed clean inoculant for making unlimited amounts of spawn? OP, some good teks if you're interested in learning:

My pleasure.
Also, I prefer to use these ball baby food jars as my agar "petris". They're much cheaper if you find them locally, as in under 5 dollars for 4. They're reusable. Another plus is you can pre-pour you agar, and then sterilize. With petris you have to pour your agar into each dish inside your SAB, which is another vector of contamination that is best avoided if you can IMO. Petris and jars each have their pros and cons, but I actually prefer jars these days.

It's fine eagle haha I like learning too so I'm always down for other people's inputs! I've actually not stored agar in the fridge so I'm not well versed in storage, but there was a thread I once read about a guy who had a dish SINGLE zip lock bagged in the fridge for 2 years that wasn't dried out and transferred clean, which is why I said up to 2 years, since it was single bagged lol
Maybe the dude had an insane fridge that should be sold by the sponsors haha
