SAB innoculations

hello all, will be attempting my first inoculation tomorrow and had a couple questions:
-how big of a drill bit should I use for the inoculation ports on the jar lids, I am using the PF tek.
-how much liquid should I squirt in each jar, there will be 5 jars and I believe it is a 12cc rig, absolutely full.
-thanks

Inoculate in 4 different spots 90° from each other. If you're using a SAB and a dry verm layer, you don't have ruin your jar lids. Just take off the lid and inoculate inside the SAB. You have to take lids off to inoculate lots of things in the long run. Gotta get used to doing it. Although it isn't ideal, it'll work out great and the likelihood of getting contamination in a SAB with a verm layer is very minimal.

If he doesn't modify his lids he won't have gas exchange.

True, and I'd definitely get an sfd hole to accommodate for grain work. But I didn't like punching 4 holes into jars then going to grains and needing new jar lids lol. He doesn't even really need a lid with a dry verm layer. Would definitely keep the verm layer dry without a lid. Just had it on upside down for pressure cooking

thanks for the info, but any advice on how much liquid to squirt in each jar? I wanna make sure I put enough in each jar to get good colonization,
and also, when I place the cakes In terrarium, how much distance between the cakes should I give?

Read the pf/brf tek. It tells you all of this. Second link in my signature
Use less than 1CC per jar just a few drops per hole
Get your info from the time tested results proven tek its less work than asking the question, so is searching it... Also you won't have people repling with goofy advice
