So I had some issues with this sub it took alot of effort to fight a bacteria epidemic. ..I thought I was making progress...today I noticed 2 pins...then noticed this fucking green speck...should I bury it now or...? The zoomed in pic is in the bottom left section of the regular pic.

Don't take any chances if it's trich but I'm no expert.wait for someone with more experienced to reply.

Definitely trich. You caught it Hella early too. Don't let it hit your house bad. If you have a shed you can fruit in there and toss after first flush. If not just bury/throw in contam pile

You could try cutting out that tiny spot.

There are 2 kinds of trich infections but it's hard to tell which kind you have.

1) The trich is spread throughout and deep inside the substrate. Cutting will do nothing to fix this issue, as the trich is spread deep and will just pop up elsewhere and in your cut spot.

2) One grain has grow trich. The trich is not spread far. It can be removed successfully, if you're lucky.

You could try cutting it out, but keep a very vigilant eye on your grow. If the trich pops back up get it out of your house before it sporulates very hard.

I actually don't like cutting trich, as you can spread little filaments of trich mycelium AND spores all over your grow area. I prefer laying a salt paste over the infected area, and trying to eek out a flush, if it's that important.

Honestly I'd just cut it out but do it away from the grow room/house entirely because the less trich the better. Realistically a walk outside by a river or in the woods will get you more covered in trich and tons of other things over cutting that speck of trich. However like said before keep a very close eye on it.

How deep, and how far around would you recommend that I cut it?

1 cubic inch. If it's just on the grain, that's all you need. If it's with the mycelium, 1 inch won't cut it and it'll need to get tossed.

I left a lot of exposed grain on top of the sub, because I apparently can't follow directions. So I am hoping that it is just an infected grain. I'll keep you updated. And again thanks for all your input.

It's okay to leave exposed grain when you spawn to a substrate. If the grain was colonized and strong, it'll recolonize before mold can take hold.
