Clarification concerning OEV's

Scenario one: You're looking up through some pine trees at the stars. The needles start forming into geometric patterns and warping into other patterns.

Scenario two: You're sitting on your couch tripping with your best bud. All of a sudden, a woman appears next to you. She looks like she's really there, like you could reach out and touch her. She doesn't just blink in and out of existence, she's there for a good five minutes.

Is scenario two a full-blown hallucination, whereas scenario one is just a visual? Or are they both just open-eyed visuals?

imo scenario 1 is OEV visuals, and scenario 2 is a sex fantasy just waiting to happen.

I wouldn't consider #2 to be a oev that seems like a few experiences I've had with extremly high doses of mdma, actually seeing life like objects, but usually they would disappear and reappear quickly not linger around...

on 200mg IM dpt I saw a woman assending from above but it was more dreamlike than life like, she was composed of all diffent patterns, composed of pure energy and very beautiful, it was somewhat startling but soothing at the same time, certainly didn't look life like, more like a demonic angel, that I would consider an oev,

I guess it's subjective, usually oev refer to patterning morphing ect. though

Medically speaking,number one was just a visual illusion because it actually had a basis in reality,and numbero dos was a hallucination because it basically appeared out of nowhere.

I've had countless illusions,but only a few hallucinations from psychedelics (not counting tropanes and amphetamine binges).
